Viper wont start after recharging the battery

I let my battery die the other night by leaving the interior lights on. The batter is now fully charged, however the motor will not turn over. I have reset the alarm, however that did not help. There was a post at one point that talked about what to do, however, I could not find it.

Do I need to reset the computer. Not sure what to try next.

If the motor will not turn over, you don't have an alarm problem. An alarm problem will at least let the motor turn over without it starting.

First thing to check is if you have a dead cell in your battery. A dead cell can measured with a specific gravity checker or by putting a load on the battery. A dead cell will allow the battery to take a charge but leaves the possibility of there not being enough potential to start the car.

DW explained that I just needed to add half throttle when I tried to start the car. After started, need to keep the throttle around 1,500 rpms until the computer resets. This can take awhile.

DW experiance is why I always take my Viper to A.R.T.

I'm guessing he meant he pushed the gas pedal 1/2 way down while cranking the car (kinda like priming the car). He then kept it around 1500RPM for the PCM to relearn some of the parameters. I was told to do the same thing by Tator when I was resetting my PCM to fight my idle problem

I'm with AZTVR on this one....if the engine wouldn't turn over, then there is no cranking or engine rpm to maintain.

I think we're confused over what is NOT happening?

1) Is the starter not cranking at all?

2) Hard cranking?

3) Cranking but no combustion?

It was cranking, however the engine would not turn over.

Kinda an oximoron grammatically...cranking but won't turn over. In my book, cranking and turning over are synonomous. "Cranking but not starting" would have eliminated half the threads on this post. JMO. What do I know.
