Alright. Let's settle this once and for all. Is there anyone out there that has access to the information that can answer a burning question? Who are wrecking Vipers? Old F**** or Whipper Snappers? And would it be safe to classify any one over the age of fifty as an Old F***? Please discuss.

I really have no idea where you are going with your questions,
but the simple answer is most pre-2003 vipers are "totaled"
because of front end damage and post-2003 from side/top.
While experience may increase with age, the [balls:talent] ratio
of any driver is pretty much the same from puberty till death.
That being said I assume younger drivers will tend to wreck
showing off, and older drivers from overcorrection. Beyond
that I would be surprised if you could find any kind of
statistical pattern in accidents of any viper-owner age group.

Hey, even good drivers wreck their cars sometimes.
Maybe they are a good driver but just not good enough for something unexpected that happens. Maybe they made a mistake, drivers are not machines and even the best can make a mistake.

I'm no where near that good--just drive within my ability--have had 9 corvettes, several shelby mustangs, and the current stable. Must say I like the Vipers more than anything I've owned. ---Dave
I dont think thats... entirely... accurate. For the most part if
someone comes on and admits to whatever mistake lead to
the crash we're usually pretty supportive. Its the a-holes who
either 1) do something stupid (and post it on youtube,) or 2)
who do something stupid and blame lack of traction control
or poor design ect... - theyre the ones who tend it get
dogpiled here.
The viper does not take any responsibility for your well-
being. Live or die, it will take you where ever you want to go.
If you come here and post about driving off a cliff because
your 9 year old MXX3s didnt grab right... well... things will
be said...

I'm 51 and can still compete with HS age kids on the BB court. I am no Old F*** yet.
I am going to be 61 in 3 months and have had an Austin Healy, Triumph GT6+, 64 Chevelle Malibu, 69 Charger, Mustang 5.0. 75 Trans Am and 2 Vettes among other nondescript rides till I got my GTS 2 years ago. I've only been in 1 wreck and it was not my fault. A truck lost control and crossed the center lane. That was in 1986. I don't think age has anything to do with either being careless or careful. My Viper is the most awesome car I have ever owned, period. Art
