They've been pretty reliable in the past - and with the new baby, they may be a little backed up. We don't have our poster yet either, but I am not worrying yet.
Ya right. He still owes me a picture and frame from last year. Plus previously I bought some photos that were not the stated size but smaller. They were going to reprint those to the correct size also. Still waiting on them also.
I was just telling the old lady that we are going to start doing this. This is such a great cash job if you are at the track anyway, all you need is a camera, adobe photoshop, and a good printer, and then let the cash roll in. I am going to start undercutting these other guys since it is free to take these pics.
timz -- Before you start, you better check with the track and event organizers. Many have exclusive contracts with their photo guys and you'd be shown the gate. Good luck.
All you need is a camea, Photoshop and a good printer? have you see the kind of equipment these folks bring to the track? have an air conditioned trailer? A plotter to print 1200 dpi posters? A 17" flat panel display for your MAC?
Oh, and let's not forget the camera - last time I checked you have at least $10K in the camera alone.
And I had said nothing of the skill it takes to get a really good shot - take a look at what the TrakCam folks do - or the pics that Sonny 00 GTS ACR posted in the media galery - shot by Trevor Walker. It's nice to think you can step right in and shoot that caliber pics, but it's doubtful.
