How much do they go for these days? I have a set on my 2008, just depends how much it would cost to get me into a set of HRE's.

I appreciate your good intentions. I have dealt with JonB in the past but never again!

This is a risk... Paul and Derrick (D-2) above are great and HONEST guys, and EZ Viper-friendly businesses. That said,

Jason, I dont even remember what issue you have with us.....but if you are willing to mend fences, I am. Last week I even offered you free GTS carpet pieces you sought in hopes to make amends.......

Practically speaking, we are logistically very close to you, we have very 'creative' invoicing for our Canada customers. And we have two sets of the wheels you seek that would be an easy trans-border swap. I even may have a Calgary VCA guy coming down in 3 weeks to a track event who might be trailering. Dunno.

I am the way-back founder of your VCA region, and Id ask you to contact your VCA prez if perhaps we can mediate whatever issue you may have. If you want to resolve this, Im in. If not, I respect that, too. Thanks. Please email me at [email protected].

PartsRack accepts trades of OE Viper wheels toward HREs, at great prices. We are HRE's # 1 Viper Vendor, thanks. Your wheels are worth several Thousand on a trade !

I'd say I'm staying outta this.. but I guess really I'm not.

Jon B is a pain in the ass, but that sure was nice and sincere attempt to mend fences. Give him a shot, what do you have to lose? If he is rude, just hang up :) lol.

I fight with him all the time, its allowed.

I deleted all the OT chaff from this thread. Dave, you have PM (again, and brother, it's gettin' old).

I havn't bought from Jon B yet, but I've looked over their stuff on their website many times. When I do need a product that they offer I will buy from them. He seems a very upstanding guy, even when people are upset. Its is a given that you cannot please everybody in business, but he tries his best it seems. :)

What other rims offer substantial weight savings besides the sidewinders?

I'm sure the HRE wheels are heavy but I have not weighed the Forgeline race wheels that are a sponsor of Viper Days. Does anyone know weights of these? They may be a good choice and are definitely strong enough for the track.

Oh yea, I sell either one and if nobody has weights I will call and get some Wed. and post.

I've researched the weight saving issue and frankly the OEM ACR/Copperhead/Sidewinder rims are hard to beat at 17.5 lbs front and 25 lbs rear (rims only w/out any hardware like center caps or lugs). Wheels that have come close are the SSRs (in 18'' only front and rear) and some of the Forgeline rims like the VR1 (now discontinued?)

The only rims I have seen that look like they would be substantially lighter are custom carbon fiber/magnesium rims from outfits like Dymag but they are quite expensive (over $10,000 per set) and initial reports are that they may not be great for track use.

Trust me HREs are much lighter than the stock setup...

100 miles my ass.. they say that on all their listing. Look at their second set of viper rims, same story.

If you only had 100 miles on them, they would NEVER be able to get break dust all embeded in the lettering on the inside of the drum, it would wash right out.

Oh well, let 'em keep em for lieing is what I say.
