Couple of pointers:
Look underneath car and see if their are any leaks (Transmission seal, or rear diff. seals) Just my experience with mine.
Sitting for long intervals causes this.

Does it have original tires?
Otherwise great find and enjoy your ride!

Have you bought it already? Tires, cats, exhaust, fluids should get you out there in great shape. Don't forget to do a leather treatment before sitting in the seats. Just my suggestion for catching up with a 14 year old car.

If the car has no accident history than that is a great find!!!

Like was mentioned, check tire date, swap out fluids and enjoy it...

Wow! that is an awesome deal/steal. Congrats on the excellent color too.:2tu:

Is there an issue with getting to the oil filters? I had the recall done some time ago and no issues. :dunno:

Congratulations! :2tu: It looks great!...except that it's red ;). Make sure you find out why there is a stream in the driveway coming from underneath the viper in your pictures.

Yes, if that isn't AC condensate or overflow from you filling coolant; check to make sure that the overflow bottle in the right front fascia behind the foglight has the proper amount of fluid and isn't leaking. (not an unusual problem)

Great find! You're gonna love that car. The advice about 'pointing it sraight' until you get used to it is very good advice. I went sideways within 5 miles of getting mine, which was riding on original tires.

A call to JonB took care of that. Fun cars, fun to mod. I just got mine out of the garage today for the first time in a while. Thrill is still there. Enjoy!

If the recall was done incorrectly (A LOT were), then access to the oil filter is blocked. If recall was done right, no issues getting to the filter

Mine was like this, had to crush the factory filter to get it out but luckily AC Delco made one that would fit. It ended up being nice though, lots of room for charge piping :).
