What are the Gen3 stock HPs?

I was wondering what is the range of stock Gen3 HPs. I never dynoed mine when it was stock and I plan to dyno it soon with the modes such as K&N, track corsa 3" with high flow cats and DC Performance tunning. I want to know what my approximate gain with these modes comparing to the stock one (well I heard that the gain should be at least 30HPs, but just want to see what to compare to).

I got 501 HP at the wheels. Bellangers and K@N's no cats and 3 inch pipes. I had the mild SCT tune on it from Sean Roe, which I just reprogrammed to the premium fuel program. I'll dyno in a couple of weeks. I do feel the change in the seat of the pants. I don't remember the torque though, but it too was high.

Wow I think that is very good numbers based on the Gen4 posts only about 15-20HP less than the Gen4 cars. With the lighter fly wheel I think you can have the same trap speed as the Gen4. I wish I have the same numbers as you do.

Dodge Race Exhaust with K&N's = 467 RWHP and 510 Torque. Car is currently at SnakePit in N.Y for a complete motor build up and Paxton set up. I'm anxious to see what the final numbers will be. Right now we are estimating 920 to 930 at the Rear wheels and over 1000 at the crank.

450 stock. 470 with K&N intake corsa exhaust 3inch and random tech cats.
Hm that is very nice numbers too and your modes very similar to mine except that I also have DC tunning. So I guess, if my car wasn't weak from the start than I should see at least similar numbers? Well I hope so.

2005 Bone stock, right down to the factory air filters, 475/500 to the tires. This was 1000 miles after an Arrow rebuild from a waranty claim.

Wow those are some good numbers, do they change any parts to other than stock for the rebuild? I am wondering what they change to give you about 30rwhp more than stock.

Bone Stock 2005: avg after 3 runs: 425rwhp. Added K&N, Corsa Track Exhaust 3", hi-flo cats, VECII, B&B Stepped Headers...and ended up with 483rwhp/518tq, not fully tuned. We figure it was actually around 500rwhp if tuned fully. Sold last year. ~juli

Man, there are some strong numbers. I just had a SCT 93 tune and with K&N, Roe Cats and Corsa, I only came in at 471HP and 506 torque on a dynojet 248.

My dyno sheet is posted in the SRT forum under A.R.T. tune

My guess is a tighter engine overall, nothing magic. Those guys are very experienced with viper motors. It ran about 5 to 10 degrees hotter & oil presure was pegged during the first 300 miles. For the next 700 miles, the oil presure & temps slowly came back to close to where they were. It used a little oil during that break in period also, but has since not used any in my 3k mile change routine.

Here's the charts from the pulls made at 1000 miles on the motor. I just wanted to verify everything was right after what I went through.

Bone stock '06 Gen III coupe (built near the end of the '06 run in '07).

DynoJet 248 (yes, the dyno make makes a difference): 435 whp/474 wtq

I'll be running on the same dyno with only Borla cat-back modification next weekend. :)

They seem to take very nicely to headers and exhaust!

Mine is at 459 RWHP and 503 TQ.

I have Belanger exhaust and headers. It looks like I need K&N filters, since most of you guys are putting down slightly more with the same exhaust setup. I didn't think they would make that much of a difference, but I must be wrong!

To be honest? Headers didn't add much HP...maybe 7-10rwhp. We were told by all the 'experts' here that that was normal. Exhaust added big-time...and yes, the K&N air intake, tho we did switch back to Green filters on the 2005. ~juli

Good question! Didn't get the full tune with the Green filters...just seemed like the car breathed better with them, got more air thru. We could be wrong, as it wasn't 'tested'....just both our own 'gut' feeling. Probably not much difference. ~juli

On my 04 I dynoed at 452 hp 471 tq. Corsa, DC tune, TB, 3:73 gears. I got bored with the Dyno machine. A lot of the bolt ons didn't do what they claimed in HP increases. The drag strip is where I test now. I also use the Gtech RR to record my runs. Its the only place where you don't have to look for radar. Its more fun to feel the G's then to sit and watch the dyno dial.

Gearing is going to throw off the dyno and unestimate your numbers. You are definitely higher.
