Just browsing through eBay as usual and came across this listing for a "Prowler-like" orange RT/10. In my opinion the color is not bright enough and therefore it looks very dull and plain. I am not a huge fan. What do you all think?

That looks more like the Nissan "gold" more than Prowler orange. I personally don't like it. Here is a pic of a orange prowler.

Unique and nice looking. Reminds me more of the older 60's and 70's Dodge bronze I think it was called burnt orange I can't recall.

You're right, the color doesn't show up well. I think the paint could use more orange in it though. I'm not much for that style HREs.

Austin, you sure they aren't 18s front, 20s rear? To me, it looks like a bigger difference than 1".

If I had 20 collectible cars in every color then the above color would be a nice change. But if I had only one or two Vipers, that color would not be my first choice. Or second, or third....

I agree with Gerald..With all the color's to choose from why would anybody go with gold.

I find it takes away from the beautiful lines of the Viper.

Just MHO.

For that color, you're right, BLU. But that color would work if you added a second color in the paint to accent, add extra metallic, or candy coat it.

If it were another color that matched the body color, it might be ok. I'm thinking Sapphire would be an interesing subtle twist, or possibly Red would look good.

No I don't like it. The rims I like but the color, as it comes out in the pictures, does not do a Viper justice.

It would take a good eye to catch that. I kinda like that stuff. Something that goes unnoticed by many, but when it's caught by that one, they know they are one of a handful that recognized it. Reminds me of the one GTS owner at last year's MD/VA Crab Feast with ghost flames, so faint, you could only see it in the right sunlight.

On E-Bay in the ad it says 19's front and 20's rear. It does look a bit odd. But, I think some of that has to do with the camera angles?

Just to clarify, I wasn't calling you out on your statement, it just appeared to have a bigger difference in diameter.

I like the steering wheel. Looks like a Momo, anyone know for sure? I don't like the single oval exhaust tip though. Need a pair of big 'uns to look good.

From the close-up shots there is a heavy metallic flake in the paint, so it probably looks much better/brighter in sunlight. But inside it definitely looks like a dull penny.
I also like the wheels even though they wouldn't be the ones that I'd buy. The cracked hood would worry me, and I gotta wonder if the addition to an aftermarket steering wheel was to sidestep the cost of a stock airbag steering wheel.
The value of this car would depend on if you like the color and style of the car, don't mind the salvage title, and especially what the final selling price is (if it reaches reserve).

No offense, but... BLEH...
The color doesn't do the car justice, and that exhaust tip has got to go.
That's my opinion, I could be wrong...

QUESTION: It has a salavge / rebuild title. Obviously resale isn't gonna do "too well". However, if the buyer isn't interested in resale value, and the work is done very much professionally, would it still be a great car to have? Or is ti that once Vipers are wrecked or damaged..."that's it?"

I wouldn't be afraid of a salvage/rebuild title as it's gonna save you up to $15k. But I'd only buy one that was pre-inspected by a pro (Tator, Pembleton, Levin, etc).
