Just how the heck did p-r-i-c-k become a swear word? Or p-u-s-s-y? Seems those are normal words that CAN be used in some negative context but are not swear words per se.

I would even submit that the word ******* has become quite normal for PG rated television shows. But, how b-s, which as indicated by Tony above can be an abbreviation for many things as it is not a word by itself, it is obvious someone with more power than common sense is using a magic wand to make us into prudes.

My guess by the same mindset that created prohibition. Guess what, you cannot force behavior by unrealistic laws or rules. I would even bet if I used the word BBQ this thread could disappear magically. But not because of anything out west, I will have a BBQ tomorrow (it is something that can be okay you know).

I crack myself up! Seriously, I cut and pasted it, I wondered if it would work, of course not.
Now let me tell you what's on the list..
Two major words are banned...the word for crap and the word for screw. All variations of same, and yeah a couple do seem to be pretty common on the internet. Maybe we oughta look at a couple of those.
Other than those two variations there are a half dozen that refer to sex acts and another half dozen that refer to male and female anatomy.
One racial epithet
Two user names that a former user asked to be prohibited.
Any variation of Mr H
And a bunch of urls that connect to **** mags or other sites that links could be brought in from. And yes the Alley is one, thank Mark O for that one if you go back that far.
And if you count the asterisks above, that is the entire list, cut and pasted, so it's not like it's endless. Indeed when I became a mod and looked at the list I was surprised there were not more.
