Whats the funniest thing anyone has ever asked or said about your viper?

I stopped by a local Dodge Dealership and had a salesman ask if I had the V-12 option in the car or if it was the base V-10......I promptly left the dealership to go to a different one.

Be careful not to judge an entire dealership based on one uneducated salesman. The management might be much sharper.

A Black Man in a Viper!!...How often do you see that!! "......I Actually laughed...And told them to take a picture and put it in a museum...Then I peeled off...

I called my dealership, ( a new service manager, they tell me) making an appointment for Oil changes, engine, rear end , Transmission.

Way back in the early days when I was much younger....as I was sitting in a parking lot in my new 1994 RT10....a fellow in another vehicle kept checking me out! After some time he came over to me (I guess he wanted to be sure I knew his intentions)....and said "BTW...I'm not checking YOU out...but your car".....

The one I get a lot is, "Hey, can I drive it, I know how to drive stick". I guess people feel that if they know how to do something, they should. I always think, given enough time and the right parts, I could build an airplane. But there is no way in hell I would fly in it.

That's a good point if you were a Doctor to start with. I am by trade a Mechanic, it just has nothing to do with cars. And I still wouldn't fly in an airplane I built.

My wife and I came out of a restaurant and as we got into the viper, a kid from the car wash next door came running over and asked if I would give him a ride. I said well it is only a 2 person car and I have my wife with me, he said well she could wait here! To which I replied sorry I have to sleep with her and I enjoy my bed and her company. As we were backing out she said she would didn't really have a problem with waiting if I wanted to take the kid for a ride, but I didn't feel comfortable do that so we continued on our road trip.

My response was a simple, " You should know Denise , you have it insured ( she is my Ins. Agent's secretary )." She finally glanced directly at me and blushing responded, " Oh, it's you Bill !" Looked right through me from the start , just saw the Viper and nothing more, ha,ha!!!!

That must be my problem too, lol. I think I get more looks driving my old Dart and Vette, but then again the Viper is silver so it blends in a little more than "arrest me red". Maybe they just think it's another Vette.

I said: "In to have a hot dog for lunch." She said: "My name is Shirley, how about I park and get in the Viper and we go to my house for lunch? (wink)"
