Ft. Lauderdale FL. to Dallas and Dallas to Arkansas...had a great time doing it.
Few rock chips on the fascia was the only negative...miles and miles of doubletakes and camera phone shots.
Averaged around 26 mpg on highway (6th gear 85ish
)

Drove my GTS from St Louis to Fresno, CA (VOI6), and from Nashville to Fresno (VOI7).
Drove my SRT from Fresno to Dallas and back (VOI8).

I drove from Chicago to Atlanta. Had to stop for gas MANY times! Nice ride except for not having cruise control is very noticable on long drives.

drove it home from nebraska the day i bought it
drove from NNJ to sarasota for 2 weeks the first year and then this year drove it to south florida for 2 weeks.

Drove it home from Omaha to St. Louis the day I bought it. Even that short drive made me wish for a cruise control. Don't plan on any other "long" trips, unless it is KC for their annual regional event.

Buffalo, NY to Riverside, CA in 3 days. My butt is still in atrophy from holding the gas pedal in one location for that many hours a day.
Ohio sucked, radar, lazer you name it they wanted to nail me.
Utah was about the same Valentine 1 was the only thing that saved me.
Wyoming was fantastic!
What a blast though, can't wait to do it again.

Palm Springs to Springfield , VA ... rainstorm in Knoxville, TN was so bad I thought God was coming.
LA to Springfield, VA....rain in Amarillo so bad, never, ever thought I would actually live here one day! OK City was hit by devastating tornados the next day.

VOI7............2000+ miles
VOI8............3000 miles
Several 1000-1500 mile trips every summer. Just got back from a 1600 miler last week.
St. Louis this September will see 2000 miles for us.
We don't find the car uncomfortable at all for long rides. We have gone over 700 miles in a day with it. We don't look for bad weather, but don't let weather stop us from going anywhere. We've been in heavy rain several times (VOI7 was memorable) and heavy snow this spring coming back from Detroit. Definitely not as much fun in these conditions. ...Just need to be really careful!

I did over five thousand miles when I drove to Nashville and back for VIO7. I just got back from Seattle and took the long way home and drove around 3500 miles. My 2003 SRT convertible now has 42,000 miles. Bob

Drove from Dallas (VOI8) to Vegas, did the Silver State Classic and then drove to Seattle. The car was flawless with most of the miles between 90 and 110 mph (165 at the Classic). Speeding ticket in AZ thanks to instant on radar.

Nice responses. I think it helps clarify how usable the car is. Vipers are not considered suitable for daily drivers by most people but the fact that they are often used for fairly long trips shows they are not total weekend toys like most exotics. I was surprised to see more comments about the absence of cruise control than cockpit heat.

Drove my GenIII from Indiana to Winterhaven Florida and back with my 8 year old son along. 930 miles one way. Drove it straight through. Thats right, 930 miles of straight seat time. 1 speeding ticket in Tennessee when they plucked me out of a group of cars.
I could have used cruise control and it is a little rough on the ears. While the Viper clearly isn't a big luxury boat, it was a pretty nice ride.
I also use mine as a daily driver and have put on nearly 20k miles since last winter.

A number of trips to/from OK/TX from CA - 1700 miles each way, I've done it a number of times in two days each way driving solo (17 hours first day, 10 hours second day), although I took it in three days each way last time (VOI8) because I had a passenger. Average around 65 mph, and usually get around 23 mpg.

Drove my 97 from Boston to Vegas for VOI-5. 6500 miles in 21 days with my mom. Some days we drove 500 miles, on others only 100 miles. Great ride. Memorable ride. And fairly comfortable given that all the magazines used to rate the ride as "kidney-jarring".

Longest trip for me was NJ to MA. Was about 350 miles of straight seat time. Was a lot of fun. I am just not up for LONG LONG trips especially in this car but I think that might change soon. Who knows

In 1999 I drove my 97 GTS out to VOI 5 in Las Vegas, then took some extra time to do some sightseeing. On the way back, swung by Michigan to visit a friend. All told, 7000 miles, 18 days, 18 states, all kinds of weather, including torrential rain and even some snow in Colorado! The car ran perfectly and was very comfortable.
Also, VOI 6 - 2000 miles, VOI 7 - 1500 miles, VOI 8 - 3000 miles. Bought my SRT-10 this May from Woodhouse, picked it up in person, and took a scenic route home - 2600 miles.
