I'm sure that this question has surfaced before, but I'm thinking about purchasing a set of OZ wheels. They look like they only come in 18" all around sets and I have 18/19 staggered sets on my 2009. I'm looking to use the lighter OZ wheels with some better tires as my auto-cross set. But I don't know how the 18's will affect handling, etc. Anyone know? Or have a better light wheel to consider that doesn't cost me a right kidney? Thanks!

Can't speak for it personally, but I'm pretty sure I have seen those wheels on Vipers at a track weekend I go to and haven't heard of any particular issues. The guy I was talking to was running used slicks and running the 18" wheel on all corners opened up a lot more options for that as it's a very common racing tire size. I think as long as you keep the overall diameters fairly similar to stock it shouldn't be a huge change. You'd have a little more sidewall flex potentially, but depending on your tire choice and pressures that might be irrelevant.

Thanks for the info. I've asked around, but no one was really certain. I thought I had see similar set-ups.

I have a set of 18" OZ wheels I would sell if you would be interested in a used set. Message me and I can send some pictures if you're interested.

So I spoke to someone at Tire Rack and while they have the O.Z. 18" wheel (18x11 and 18x13) that should fit the viper, finding a tire at 200 treadwear seems to be ridiculously more difficult. I found 40s and 300s and not any in-between. I did see a BF Goodrich Rivals S tires in 335/30ZR18. Right now I'm running 345/30ZR19 off the stock 19" wheel, but the O.Z. wheels only comes in the 18s. Do you guys think the 345/30ZR18 would work on those O.Z. wheels? They're 12.5 rather than 13, but I've always heard you could go up or down by 1" and 1/2" on width. Anyone know anything about this? I am super ignorant on tire size. Just trying to get into a better tire and wheel and don't want to go to slicks for obvious reasons.
