When do you plan on selling your Viper? Or are you keeping it forever.

There is no car, or amount of money for that matter, worth
trading my viper in on. But, like Blue said, if push came to
shove its not the most important thing in my life...

Explaining Viper things to you
No plans to sell mine. I'm planning on having the H2 and the Viper forever, since I see them both as kind-of iconic American cars.

Hate to rain on your parade, but the H2 was built on a 1/2 ton SUV platform and GM tried to present it as a military vehicle. Which is a 1-1/4 ton platform.

Soooooooooo, while shoppers wandered the GM showrooms with their checkbooks out buying the most expensive POS SUV ever made, the name failed. Because the product ***** and people figured it out.

Interesting how the Chinese bought the name from GM. That's respectful LOL.

Summary: Yes, keep the Viper forever, but get rid of the H2 while there are still a few people left that think it's actually more than a re-skinned Avalanche.

PS... Did I mention that the H3 is a re-skinned Colorado? A mini truck? Wheeeeeeeeee!!!

Hummers... What a joke LOL.

I hope to always enjoy the raw power of a viper, I just may continue to upgrade with new and improved. :)

There are so many cool mods that you can do to these little guys.

I figure that I'll hang on to mine but plan to get another in the next year or two. I sold so may beautiful muscle cars in the 70's and 80's that I kick myself for every day. My car is a great driver and in 6 or 7 years I'd like to restore it as a GTS-R clone since it's a 98.

Scott I live in Boise so thats one for the cruise.

:2tu: Sweet! Anybody else? Between you and I, maybe we ought to set up a BBQ or something to incentivize these guys to make the trip? Maybe coordinate it as a pit stop to a west coast destination event for the guys travelling from the East? I’m sure you and I can both agree that a herd of Vipers bouncing through Boise would be a major source of rock star attention. Could be fun!

So, do you make it to any VCA events? What's in it for us Idaho folks?

No **** it's not a real military vehicle Dave. lol Everybody knows it's a mish-mash of 1500 and 2500 parts off of Tahoes and Suburbans. I just mean it's a decidedly in your face, American car that will not be mistaken for anything else.

As for a POS, it rides just as good as lot of other luxury SUV's and is pretty damn bullet-proof on reliability except for a couple of things, which every car has some sort of issues.

Yeah, you could probably clean house in downtown Boise. What will surprise you more are the amount of dorks that you see with these gals…it’s unfathomable. That’s a pretty sweet color combo on your Viper BTW.

Just sold mine. It wasn't perfect anyway, and I'll be looking for another one soon.

I bought my 96 Viper GTS in 1999 and I will never sell it. You'll have to pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel in order to take it from me. Can't believe the damn thing is almost 16 years old.

I never plan on selling the Viper that made the boss of my supervisor so jealous he was overheard saying "I can't let him pay that off" and proceeded to severely bother me in the office a few times. He was later transferred to a far away and remote location for having sex with the human resources woman at the office.

The 2000 RT/10 I have now is everything I wanted almost 8 yrs ago and still want in a dream car. I would definitly have sellers remorse forever if I sold it. I can always find a way to garage it and still drive it when I eventually buy my next Viper.

I understand sellers remorse.... sold two and regretted each. The old, gen 1 cars are under my skin. The one I have now is good but not as nice as the last one I had.... LOL

I put over 6K miles on mine last year... plan on keeping it until it falls apart. Once the car has over 100K miles, I hope to be able to afford a Gen V!

I've wanted one since I was literally 10 years old (over 17 years ago) and now that I'm finally getting one (2008 convertible), I have no plans on selling it any time soon. The only way I'd ever sell it would be to upgrade to a newer Viper and that wouldn't be any time soon.
