That's the problem, you can't see the small (and short) pressure drop (assuming there is any) with a gauge that has a heavy silicon oil dampening all movement. My OEM gauge also doesn't show any movement despite the mechanical gauge's momentary drop.
Does anyone else have a mechanical oil pressure gauge that can run up the RPM's a bit and observe the pressure at various rpm's? (Keep an eye on the road though)
