The convertible is already very, very rigid. Far more than the previous coupe versions. We are nearing the point of diminishing returns. I don't believe that you will see much of an improvement do to more rigidity. However, at higher speeds I'd bet the slightly better aero will lead to improvement.

Dirk:
I think that the "point of diminishing returns" (save for PR/advertising) has been reached long ago.
ALL manufacturers, not cars only but also trucks, for about every new models, claim a huge % improvement in torsional rigidity compared to the previous model.
Will that mean that the "original" model was made of rubber?
What is the practical benefit of needing 40,000lbs to deflect the frame/body 1* compared to needing only 38.000lbs?
Also, I'm not sure how do that apply to cars/trucks but, in the motorcycle industry, manufactures went too far in torsional rigidity to the point that it was detrimental to handling and they "dialed back" some "flex" to the motorcycles frame/chassis.
