I installed a set of Woodhouse engine/trans mounts on my 97 GTS this weekend.

OMG these things are amazing!!! :D

After only 34,000 miles, the stock motor mounts were sagged, torn, and tweaked. The transmission mount was completely ripped in half. :crazy2: If you haven't checked your motor mounts recently, you probably should.

After installing the new solid Woodhouse mounts, the car doesn't rattle as much, shifts are more precise, and wheel hop is all but eliminated. :2tu: These are the mounts the car should have come with from the factory.

I highly recommend these mounts for any car, especially any forced induction or higher than stock HP cars. Thanks to Bill, Mark, and everyone else in the Woodhouse team for making a superior set of mounts for these cars!

I should have mine installed within the next two weeks.
I've always had problems with the 2-3 shift, I assume these help with that?
Also, many state the car shakes/vibrates more and your saying yours does not?
Did you feel a difference with Throttle response?

I'm not sure I would describe it as "shakes/vibrates". I would say you feel your car more. It feels tighter and more precise under a little throttle, a lot tighter under WOT..:D

Definitely worth the time and money.

Seems like every one that does change the mounts reports back that the OEM mts were broken...

The gains I noticed were in the lower gears (1-4), so it may well help with situation. The clutch engagement seems firmer and it feels like the power is actually making it to the wheels now.

I guess shakes/vibrates is in the eye (or seat) of the beholder. The solid mounts will allow more vibration through the frame than a traditional rubber mount. However, when your rubber mounts are completely torn apart, harmonic vibrations through the frame and chassis can get unbearable. Treesnake is right in that you do "feel" the car more. It's a much tighter package and the car doesn't feel as sloppy.

I wouldn't say I noticed any change in throttle response, but the afformentioned clutch engagement makes the car feel slightly quicker because the power is actually getting to the ground rather than being soaked up by the stock mounts.

+1 on the mounts... while your down there dont forget to change some fluids that most people neglect. Trans and diff fluid need to be changed a lot more often in these cars.

Never missed a shift since the poly mounts :D

Just received mine in the mail, nice quality, glad to see their name on them too rather than being generic. I'll be installing them in a couple days, but here's a pic..

So looking on the Woodhouse web site there's a pic showing some mounts in Red? What are they? are they a diffrent spec or can you order them in a colour instead of black? :dunno:

If You order the Red ones does it mean their faster to fit :D

Those appear to be them. Not sure why there is a red pair but regardless of the color you can expect between 5 and 100 hp gain. :2tu:

I remember Mark telling me that the red were for racing or track use...something like that, but I'm fairly sure that they don't make them anymore.
