I want to replace the borla tips on my 96 rt/10. They are real dull and weren't installed right. Will changing tips change the sound any? if so what sounds the best?

Can't say the tips gave added sound. I'll give the credit to Ballenger for the sound.

I have belangers as well and love the sound but I hate their tips. If those are MGW Tips I will now own some. My only reserve was cutting up the belanger tips off but I guess this is light work for an exhaust shop. While I am doing I would like to get that little surround that goes around the exit hole in the bumper. Best I remember a Blue and White GTS (guy is in the Serta bedding business) sells that surround. Post a Pic again.

Chris,
John B just had a post in the vendor about a new X-pipe made by Random Tech. There was also a thread with some links to about a dozen different styles ot tips (I believe Magnaflow).

MGW stopped selling them a couple years ago, they got discolored from the heat and chipping.

Fortunately, I have experienced none of the above..
Did they say where the discoloration was; on the tips or on the lower bumper??

They just said that they stopped selling them because of discoloration from the heat and chipping, It must be on the tips.

Here are a set cut from a solid bar stock aluminum brick that is milled and looks great. On top of that they bolt on. I can not tell you how much better these look than the Belanger tips that came with my exhaust system, chrome...rusty...long and sharp enough to cut you. I have seen better exhaust tips at discount auto parts or autozone. I do not know where you could get a set like this or how much they would cost but one of our VCA vendors sells a similar set for are you ready for this $996.00. OMG some people just have to much money.

sorry guess the VCA will not allow a pic from The Alley site over here. You can still go over there and see what I am talking about. Anyone know why the pics show up as a red x worked fine in the previews but post and it is a red x
Why can't Viper sites work together instead of being against each other.

who makes these?
I have no Idea, Zero FLight Altitude makes a similar set on the same principal (cut from bar stock) but I do not care for the finished product as much and I would have to guess that they do not sell many sets at $995.00 Thanks G. for posting my pics. Can we get the VCA Pic Ban Lifted? Anyone?
