\"You Saved My Life\" he said......

Got a call this week from a fellow owner who JUST installed Team-Techs before a multi-club track day. Experienced driver. Many track days with oe belts only. Cold day. RT/10.

Less than 1 lap in, the car crashes HARD and I mean destroyed.
He had to be cut from the car, Jaws-Of-Life. Ambulance ride to rule out internal damage, since the car was destroyed.

He was back as a spectator in 1 hour. Sore groin because the 5-pt was maybe too lose (and 6 pt is best anyway) but otherwise no damage and glad to be alive. {He saved his OWN life.}

BE SAFE OUT THERE !

Jon,

I finally have worked thru the problem with installing the 5 pts in my 00 RT/10. I also have a track day coming up this weekend and have been thinking about preventive maintenance! We were able to gain access to the underside of the rear panel through the inner fender wells. Turns out there were never any threaded balsas installed on this RT because it's all clear from the backside. Don't know why, but there is a bright side to the story.

We are able to use the template you provided me for locations and will drill the necessary holes and bolt in the hardware in the morning. Perseverance will prevail! Thank you again with your help and I look forward to doing biz with you in the future.

Glad he is okay!
After installing 5 pts never use stock belts again.
Unless just going to corner gas station for milk

Having plowed into more walls than I'd like to admit its pretty important to have the restraints pretty darn tight.

When you start bouncing around inside a car, if the restraints are loose "for comfort" they don't work as well.

We can furnish a "6-Pt Accessory harness" for $49 that will give you the OPTION of making your Team Tech 5 pt into a 6pt very simply. And swap back if for some reason you want to. We must stamp/date the 6pt with the same date as the primary harness

The belt, once wrecked, should be returned to TT for recertification before install in another vehicle....
