I've been fighting with trying to locate one of the necessary sockets. I'm looking in the McMasters catalog on line cause I know I saw one in there but can't find it again. I've even sent McMasters an e-mail requesting assistance and they were kind enough to tell me to go look on line. What a...
I'm not sure I would install a system that does not have a diaphram in the accumulator tank. (such as an accusump)
I had one that didn't have a diaphram and basically they don't work. The advantage to the accusump is that the oil and air pressure are separated by a diaphram. If there is no...
Exactly, good point.
I wonder if anyone has thought of this approach and how difficult it would be. I wonder if there would be any issues with where it is installed since the fuel line acts like an accumulator and volume for the first start is supplied from the quantity of fuel under pressure...
This is a very timely post. I have a 97 that is hard to start exactly as Jack B said it probably would be.
I have a pressure gage on the manifold and if I repeatedly turn the key on and off to start the fuel pump and cycle it several times I can see the pressure rise. However, as soon as it...
Re: Removing front cross member....any gottcha\'s?
And I thought it was just wires running under there, I should have looked closer. That is the type of gottcha I was looking for. In this case the pain-2-reward ratio is weighted heavily on the side of pain so I'll simply leave the member...
Removing front cross member....any gottcha\'s?
When removing the front cross member on a 97 GTS are there any gottcha's I should know about first?
The cross member I'm referring to is the one that the power steering fluid cooler is mounted on. It attaches in three places and mine at least, is...
Wow, what a small world it is! I was on flt 4 from JFK to BUF. So you were the pilot. Now a days I'd be afraid to even attempt to stick my head in the cockpit. I did say hey on my way out the door though. Since I don't fly cross country to pick up Vipers all that often it may be a while before I...
Seems like a waste of perfectly good garage space.
<begin sarcasm>
Do you have to remove your shoes before entering the house?
<end sarcasm>
Well you got me by a couple of miles Tim. I would have gone all the way to Salt Lake and added another 200+ miles but I got tired of doing 10mph through ice and 3" of new snow between Laramie WY and Rock Springs.
I was pretty amazed at the comfort and yes cruise control was the only creature...
OK, Le Mans excluded, I just know someone is going to say that.
Oh yeah, it has to be in a Viper, after all this is a Viper board.
Mine is 1,147
From Ottawa, Illinois to Rock Springs, Wyoming.
What's your personal best?
What a club, thanks for volunteering but I'm going to be flying in to Buffalo in the morning 10:45am JetBlue, and pick the car up in the morning.
The only thing that would spoil my trip is if the car is not acceptable. I've had several conversations with the owner and he is picking me up at the...
While you're in there I'd probably replace the lifters with the newer design that I don't think bleeds down as bad. Especially if you're having any noise from them on start up as I was. They aren't that expensive and they are worth it IMHO.
Another thing to consider is the head bolts. Replacing...
With all that said Jack, I certainly respect your opinion. However, I can only go by what the dyno says. The first dyno showed my A/F consistantly in the range of 14.5 to 1 all the way up to about 5800rpm.
After the installation of the boost pump I get a consistent A/F of 13:1
I hear what...
