I disagree. They are just a way to integrate both the turn signals in the area as well as a new aspect to help identify a car and are the running lights in many cases which have a safety aspect to them. Like they laugh at HID lights today or LED tailights? I don't think so as look how silly the lighting looks now on 60's and 70's cars. It is just evolution and suspect like everything else, those done tastefully will look good for a long time and those that don't, will looks silly.- 05Commemorative

Not flattering about new Viper
All good info, but I am still not sure why we should care? If someone wants to buy a mustang, then they should but they were never in the market for a Viper. If buying a z06 or zr1, then I can see them also considering the viper, but hoping HP is not their driving factor of their decision.- 05Commemorative

Why the silly Mustang vs Viper discussion? If you are in the market for a 95-120k Viper, are you really considering a $55k mustang? And the reverse question as well? Just seems like two cars that are totally unrelated to each other on every possible level and I don't think their target... -

Production rate
Not true. I beieve they produced more than 3000 in 94 and ~2500 in 2004. Completely agree on the quality control. -

wow, imo that is hidius. Way too busy in the front and why do we need foglights anyways? I for one was glad to see the functional vents, less weight and no worry of a useless part to break. foglights were needed in prior design because nothing useful was in that big space. I don't think... -

why have the softtop at all if you had a proper hardtop convertible. push a button and have it drop down when you want open air. Put it up when you want and even use for the track. Three Generations - A Photo Comparison
Great shot comparison. Each great for their time, but hands down, the GenV is the best looking to me and actually in these shots looks meaner and slicker. Sits low and I think is more agressive front to rear and gladly nothing cartoonish about it. -

I think the greatness of the car is that it is Naturally aspirated. You ever driven a supercharged car on the track for a day.
