    What transmission oil/fluid for a 98 GTS?

    I switched over to Amsoil in my 97. I was tired of having the shifter rattle return after only a few hundred miles with the oem lube changes. I have over 3K miles now on the Amsoil lube with no rattle issues and the trans shifts like butter as well.

    Dave's suggests a .070'' - .100'' gap between the backside of the hub and the pump housing give or take .010'' I have done 5 of these so far and all 5 are the same as mentioned above which is the front of the hub being just over the start of the shaft and not dead flush with each other.

    2009 Who has one?

    The 08's had a weight increase occurring between early and mid production. The added weight came from beefed up half shaft's being done on all model's. Cannot recall if the added weight was 20 lbs or 40 lbs per car. This added weight was not factored into the intial advertised weight of the 08's.
