Another Viper owner told me Vettes are great starter kits for Vipers when I was looking back then. But Vettes are more forgiving comfort-wise for bigger people. Vettes have more foot room, shoulder room, and flatter seats with more adjustability (although less support for hard driving)...
emericr,
I have owned and driven much of the competition you talk about. I have put 30K miles on my Gen III since new. A/C still blows colder than anything I have experienced (but the unwanted hot vent air is a problem) and the seats (for support, especially hard driving) are unequaled (if...
I prefer the Gen IV front end look also. I think the Gen V would look better if the headlights were more horizontal instead of vertical but then would the headlights not work as good? That could be a functionality thing like Paul mentioned. Again, I'd be willing to accept the tradeoff for...
Slow turnover? I can't tell because mine fires right up on the push of the button. I just recently put in a new Diehard Platinum because it didn't fire up at all. Just tick, tick, tick, tick..... I did notice a sligh hesitation on the last couple of starts and didn't think much of it. So...
Thanks for the report. I always wondered how good these are because I run across their advertising in Hot Rod every month. Now I know where to go for transmission work should I need it. No leaks?
Some people just aren't into green, period. It isn't a popular automotive color obviously but the few that like it, really like it (as Nineball pointed out). I like green and orange but will take SSG over VVO anytime. SSG is one of my favorite colors - not common, it's wild, and is a...
Romney = bullsh**t. Some in the other camp too. Don't pin your hopes on ONE man. This is a democracy, not an autocracy. Congress has more to do with the state of this country and their productivity has been abysmal. We need to get real and support courageous politicians who want to do the...
Ouch! I think you're right - I'll never be able to get that thought out of my head now every time I see a winged vert. Austin, think you can show two people or so eating and drinking off of a winged Viper vert to show off their versatility?
How much of your time on this station was spent checking if the supplied parts are good - pre-inspection. How much time for post-inspection - making sure your parts are working properly within tolerance on the chassis? Do you run into issues "making" a part fit?
I'd wait and see how the Gen V is doing - if it isn't enough to sway you over your current ride, you can pick up a Challenger SRT8. Daughter wil be enthralled knowing her Challenger will be practically hers!
I didn't see anything wrong with her presentation - a little laid back which I think Leno may have preferred because it was HIS presentation, not Beth's or SRT's. A stronger personality may have dominated his presentation.
"...can't understand why people do this.." I think some of them do this as an FU because they interpret your efforts to park out of the way as elitist behavior (particularly the ones with the crappy vehicles). Another form of jealousy/anger. This group may see us as 1 percenters even though...
