Really?
If its that serious then surely you would be able to find several pics on the internet to add to this thread to help others understand the situation you are talking about.
Give it a shot.
I photograph most local Viper events. See a lot of Gen2's (in person) and they all look...
I took my fascia off once and man was it a PITA to get back on. Hooked it on the one side/corner then took two of us to stretch pull it to slip around the other side. Reminded me of putting bed sheets on a mattress that got shrunk in the dryer.:)
On my GTS besides the numerous bolts fastening...
+1 ,
What type of roads do you drive on? Highway/Backroads/Track ?
and How do you drive on them? Cruise / Spirited / Aggressive ?
+1, Michelin, Nitto, Perelli each make a couple diff model tires compatible with Vipers.
www.viperpartsofamerica.com offers every selection specific to the...
Peer, take your "theory's" to an NARRA ViperDays trackday and see what the guys who set up the comp coupes & ACR-X's think of them...
I personally think you are uninformed about tire pressures & weight distribution from your above comments.
Dissagree,
& think that atleast 75% of Viper owners would keep their snake over a 911 of comparable year and/or price.
I own Viper because I love Viper. If I loved porsche then I would buy one.
I do think they are a fabulous car and like how active the PCA is with trackdays.
but when I show...
I disagree with that weak alignment suggestion.;)
Stock spec calls for 0.20-0.65 rear...
For his app I would go no lower than 1.5 F / 0.8 R, but think 1.5-1.7/1.0 would be better. Especially considering that he drives less than 1000miles per year and the tires will last more than a few years...
Great. Well not really...LOL Drive more!!! but with low miles and twisty roads you can run a pretty aggressive alignment without worrying about tirewear.
Great. Fresh rubber paired with a good alignment is Key to pulling G's in the corners.
Yes, anytime someone talks about camber they...
Few Q's for you moon:
1. What type of driving do you do? % hwy / % roads with turns
2. trackdays per year?
3. How many miles do you drive per year?
4. How often do you replace your tires currently?
5. How often would you be ok with replacing tires if they didn't last as long ?
Adding camber is...
The same could be said for nearly any purchase whether it be cloths, a bicycle, toys for your kids, a TV, ect...
If you have the disposable money and want to buy something new then I don't see a problem with that.
If you go broke buying something new that you can barely afford then I don't...
To calculate your gas mileage more precisely:
1. Fill the tank up
2. 0 your odo trip
3. Drive till less than a quarter
4. Fill up
5. Divide Miles Driven by Gallons put in
= Miles per Gallon

+1, I've been enjoying 7K intervals with my daily drivers. Typically do 3-5.5K on the Viper depending on amount of track days and availability of friends lifts.
You don't want to know...

I use either Shell Rotella T6 5w40 or Motul 8100 5w40 for street & track cause they both have elevated anti-wear additives that are beneficial to my aggressive driving style.
Advance Auto carries the Shell...

gb66gth , check the price on sills at your local dealer and i'll bet the price increased by the same amount.
And like I said, if you have a concern that VPA doesn't have the best price...
NEWSFLASH: The majority of limited Viper parts that are no longer in production will continue to go up in price until the end of time.
WHO remembers when the Wizard used to post on here and would give us a heads up of significant/ridiculous price increases on specific items?
He had a month...
- VPA doesn't control the prices of Mopar parts stocked in Mopar warehouses. They are just a middle man like any other authorized mopar dealer(like your local dealership).
- VPA will typically have better prices than anyone else do to running a lower profit margin since the overall goal is to...
+1 it just has to do with bypassing the flow from the oil cooler
add to that with the slight amount of flow increase without the valve(acr) i think youd be More likely to run out of oil in a long high-G corner. Think about it... On a 8second turn, would you rather have 100psi for 6seconds...
Stock Springrates: 250front/450rear
1999-2000.5 ACRv1Koni...400 / 750
2000.5-2002 ACRv2DSI... 500 / 1100
Looking at a 2000 the DSI's are easy to spot sice they are blue&gold. I forget what color the Konis are. Inspecting, you can look for leaks down the shock body that road grime would likely...

This week we've had two more flurries resulting in re-salt&sanding
Im leaving for Miami next week and hope to miss the final chapter of this winter.
Nice. If I was in town I would have stopped by. Roads still a bit crappy up in PA?
Upgraded my oilpan & gasket a couple years ago with higher capacity with trap-door baffles. She's still sealed up nice.
I havnt driven the snake since January 1st. Roads have been kept well salted since then with this wicked winter.
As much as I've been enjoying hitting the slopes up north and pretending like I'm in the olympics, I've been dying to get the Viper out of the garage.
Totally stoked that we had...
