I am running rough track height and a full track alignment. I have the Hoosier R6's with the 18 -19 combo. I am out there quite a bit so let me know when you want to go out.
It is a Traqmate with Chase Cam combination. It automatically syncs the video to the track data. It really helps to study segment times and find where you are loosing and gaining time.
Tiago, it was a nice Sunday cruise actually :)
Vic, Yes it was the Black/Graphite Stripe SCR with the Polished Sidewinders on it.
Richard/Beth, I have a 1st and 2nd place trophy for both of you. You guys left to soon to collect it. I have it and will get it to you the next time I see you guys.
Thanks for the compliments!
The track is very fun. It is my home track so I have run it both CW and CCW. Temps on the car were roughly 220 this weekend at the highest. I have run with 104 ambient temps and the coolant temp got to about 235 -240 before I called it a session.
Brad04...
Here are a couple of my laps at TWS this past weekend. The track was running Counter Clockwise and the heat was roughly 95 out. It was a great weekend and a great event.
Dan, you are obviously correct. The OP did say he had an AEM already though. The turbos are definitely small, but if they are new it is still a good deal at $2k. Although parts cost maybe $1k the labor is worth something. Hard call to make but at that price, or lower you can't really beat it...
I would have to say that is worth it. You will spend less than a Paxton kit, and although I do believe the Paxton has more power potential, this is a good price point.
If you purchase it, PM me and I'll ask the guy that they did the original kit for if he has any of the install pics.
Wish I could make it but I don't get back in until Sunday. Have fun and I hope to catch up the next time. How many of you will make it out to NARRA (ViperDays) event at TWS on the 29th & 30th?
I don't see any BOV's and they are not built in, also I don't see the wastegates or the oil scavenge pumps. I am sure there will be items you have to purchase still.
How much are they asking for the kit?
Are these recent photos, or the original photos when this person purchased the kit?
Is it in still new condition?
It was a far more complex kit than what is available today. I am unsure if you can buy a kit from someone new, like RSI, ART etc... without...
Kit's were good fit and finish, they had oiling issues in the beginning that got worked out. Quality of parts was great. I only know of two kits they made though.
I believe the one that GTS Dean knew about was from Axis Industries. I am mutual friends with the Viper owner who's car it was originally developed on. They are long since gone.
Boxer,
Congrats on the 1st place finish, and also on a gorgeous ACR.
What mods do you have. I know driving is what got you to the 1st place finish, but I would like to know if you still have stock gears and what other mods you may have.
Is there a lot of fabrication to change the steering...
BTW, wheel hop will lead to broken axles. If the car is hopping violently, let out completely then roll back into it. Failure to do so may mean you will be pushed off track and towed home with a broken axle. If you are hopping your time is not going to be good anyway.
Wheel hop is directly...
I have an open in that I use. It has a removable fender and a 4' dove tail. I would say that an enclosed or open depends on what you tow it with, and how often you tow it. I use mine to go back in forth to TWS and MSR, I am in the Spring/Houston area as well.
As far as who to talk to, not...
The bleed screw is on the side of the transmission. It is only accessible from under the car. Unless you really want to get under the car yourself, take it back to the dealer like others have said.
If you are that close to Woodhouse or another reputable shop this would be great. I really...
Chances are that it is NOT the headers boiling the fluid. This is a VERY common problem from what I have read and experience on the 08 and newer cars. I did not bleed my clutch in the traditional sense. I pumped the pedal about 20 times and the problem went away completely. I do this with...
