I live on an air base and could probably hide it amongst the B-1's.
I have an '05 SRT-10 quad cab with 20K miles and consumes NO oil. It is driven daily in a sane manner and the oil is changed on a regular basis. Any motor that burns that much oil needs some serious attention, and I think your buddy would be well advised to find something else.
Orange is a little less comon, so if you go to a big Viper event you won't have as much trouble finding your car. Personally, I like the orange better, but I would gladly take the red.
As far as fuel mileage for a DD...I get 9 in the city and 13 on the highway. The ride is harsh, but the brakes are great. I have an '05 quad cab I use as a DD and it isn't bad for the 5 miles or so that I travel each day, but if I think I'd rather have an '09 Ram with the new suspension...and...
