Re: 96\' RT/10 factory headers vs. 02\' RT/10 factory headers
Heads I/E ported & milled .060", match ported intake,708 cam w/1.7 RR's,65mm TB's,red top injectors and those Borla Headers w/3" Randomtech Cat back exhaust-no cats. To summarize I somewhat genII-ized (lack of a better word) my...
Re: 96\' RT/10 factory headers vs. 02\' RT/10 factory headers
You're right! I forgot about that option. Where did it go? We need to ask the admins if they can put it back!
Anyway here's a pic of it when it was new.
If you'll notice closely to the collector you'll see we ported all of the...
Re: Anyone have the trunk mat for Rt/10\'s ? Opinions?
I have a brand new one I will sell for $90 shipped anywhere. It was in my car for maybe a month or so? I run two 10# bottles of NOS so It's not worth putting it in and taking it out all the time when I want to put my bottles in. Its from...
Re: 96\' RT/10 factory headers vs. 02\' RT/10 factory headers
I thought they worked very well myself. I went to Edelbrocks and while I haven't dynoed my car since then I'm not sure there is much of a difference.....sound maybe? Chad these have never been cut on or nothing. It's a direct bolt...
Re: 96\' RT/10 factory headers vs. 02\' RT/10 factory headers
If you want a set of headers for your GenI I got my old set of Borla headers I would sell for $500. Part # 17078. It was their first release/design for the Viper. They came off my 96RT10 so they will fit your car. They fit the GenII...
I would say RR's at best will net you maybe 20 but since you have the stock exhaust manifolds getting your heads done and staying with stock manifolds will gain you very little. Not to mention I'm pretty sure you will not get your heads done for $2300. We all know headers aren't cheap and if you...
Re: \"Callaway 440\" in a Viper??
Funny! I never heard of a Callaway Viper ?
What's even funnier is I owned a Callaway Twin Turbo(1988) just prior to buying my Viper almost 7 years ago and was able to meet Reeves on a few ocassions at the Museum in Bowling Green. I won Judges choice at the...
Is there a need?
he@#! yes there is a need! I will buy one!
I was at a PRI show here back in 05 and remember talking to a rep for Cometic. I was told then he had an old set for the Viper but here it is now 2 years later and not much has went forward with the R&D. I can't think of a better...
Thanks
Oh by the way I would like to compliment you on your car. It's a sweet looking ride with power to boot.
I use this pic of yours in my collection of great Viper pics
Very Nice!
Viper Spray
Thanks
That is a start. Wow 535 !
The pics are a genII motor so... I will call to see if they can do a genI. The genI's cylinders are sleeved and are of different design than that of a GenII.
I want to look into this as an option.
My car is currently not stock. It's a GenI of course and for the most part it is what I will call a GenI that has been GenII-ized (lack of a better word). Bottom end is stock and I'm running the 708 cam (Harland Sharp RR's). I've had some head work done...
Re: Is this safe? \'96 GTS + 5yr old child in front facing child seat +
96RT10 No air bags at all ! LOL!
I take my 4 and 2 year old out in mine all the time! I say take your daughter with you. She'll love it and so will you!
That's awesome!
Congratulations!
Who or What? Was second fastest ? (Like it matters) I'm just curios on how much you beat up on the competition. :D
Answer to 1st. Yes, pretty much. If you haven't noticed(joking) the Randomtech muffler is a pretty long muffler. The Randomtech cat is a little long (universal fit) so you'll probably have to cut that down as it will butt up to the muffler. This leads to your other question. It doesn't matter...
Gary
Glad to see you are getting things together. Those marks do nothing for your TDC (cam position sensor) if that's what you are worried about. The High /low part of the cam gear is all that sensor needs to see. It creates the hall effect that corresponds with the crank sensor (middle of...
