Hey, guys, I know this topic been raised here couple of times, I researched previous posts. However, knowing that tuners upgrade their items, I decided to raise this question again.
First of all, I understand that TB will give me at most between 5-10HP and I am fine with it as it is easy bolt...
I just noticed on Arrow Racing site, that they offer Ported intake for Gen 4 only. Is porting intake on Gen 4 and Gen 3 produce different results? I have Gen 3.
Dan, not sure if I understand correctly, are you comparing two different cars, one with and one without Ported intake? If so I am not sure if that is the right comparison, since cars do vary in HP from stock and more you drive it more it may vary.
On a related topic, what kind of off set one would want to run as an weekend race warrior? Basically, I race my car 5-7 times a year on a Kumho street tires. I race it hard in the advanced group and I want as much advantage as possible on the race track, but at the same time I don't want to...
I got the same setting, headers and tunable PCM via SCT. However, I was told that headers or PCM will not do any good unless you go with the full package of heads and cum. I got this info from a very reputable NA build engineer.
Gripforce can you AIM me what is the cost for ported Intake from DC?
Hey guys, I see some mix comments on this topic.
Basically I was wondering if anyone has a dyno sheet proof if ported Intake on a stock engine gives you any HP gain? Some people say yeah and some people say nope, not on the stock engine, in fact it even may cut 5HP on your stock engine...
I am interested in the same thing - how much does it cost to port intake, who does it and what HP gain can it brings up to the stock engine with MM Headers?
I assume it is simple bolt off and bolt back on?
Guys who race and change brake pads between race days and street driving, what tool do you use to remove brake pad pin without knocking with the hammer on the caliper paint? Last time I was changing brake pads I used a Philips screwdriver, and can't say I am happy with it as I was tending to...
Nope it is defenatily not shot, and I may be able to live with it for another 5-10-15K miles (who knows), but I just thought that its is a cheap insurance. I will be putting in Fidanza Flywheel and I understand that it would be a good idea to change clutch at the same time so I don't have to...
I got 12K Miles on the car.
This is the reply back I got from the ebay seller of the LUC clutch:
"Hello,
LUK's part # for the pilot is L207. In the 20+ years we have never had a pilot issue with a pilot bearing/bushing supplied in a LUK kit. If yours is OE this should work fine. Thank you."
I am located in Nor Cali.
This is LUK on ebay that I am thinking of buying:
Dodge:Viper,Ram Truck 1992-06 Luk Clutch 05-088 : eBay Motors (item 230429199041 end time Feb-04-10 14:23:11 PST)
Do I need to buy anything extra to this LUC clutch on ebay?
Just found this clutch kit on ebay: Dodge:Viper,Ram Truck 1992-06 Luk Clutch 05-088 : eBay Motors (item 230429199041 end time Feb-04-10 14:23:11 PST)
Is this right kit for SRT 05? Is that a good price? With shipping it comes to $235, seems ok?
Just picked up new Fidanza wheel, and plan to install it very soon. I understand that it is a good idea to change clutch at the same time. Where can I pick up a good priced stock clutch?
Thanks.
What is better? Does VEC really gives you better tunning, better HP than SCT? I've seen posts that claims SCT can give you up to 30HP what about VEC?
I understand that SCT is more stealth mode, meaning I can bring it back to the stock program if I need to take the car to the dealership and VEC...
There has been a lot of talks about it. After reading some of the history I went with the Royal Purple Syncromax. Not sure if I would do it again though. The oil is sooooo expensive and no I did not notice any difference in shifting at all. Afterwards I was actually told that Syncromax may not...
Yes MrTint did an excelent job for 3 of our cars. I love every bit of it on the rear lights and front lights. Car looks much nicer now and the good thing, you can alwasy take it off if you need too.
I had my callipers powdercoated in yellow with black vinul "Viper" stikers on them. They look great. I tracked my car on the road race in Sears Point and Thunderhill twice and no discoloration of any kind.
Yes, I am sure Cops can give me a ticket for the headlights covered if he had a bad day or need to get his quota for the month, but it is a fix it ticket. They can also give me a ticket for the tinted windows, yet, there are tons of cars driving around bay area with the driver side tinted windows.
Wait a minute, I thought in your previous post you said it is safe to simply change the light bulb to 55W. Did I read it wrong? Can you send me PM with the company info you are talking about?
Interestingly I just spotted HID bulbs on ebay for $49.99, but they describe them by the color temperature and not by watts:
05 06 DODGE VIPER RT HID HEADLIGHT BULB BULBS PAIR D1S:eBay Motors (item 180445976434 end time Jan-14-10 15:19:58 PST) :dunno:
