Anyone got a write up on the shifter install?

Anyone have a step by step instructions and possibly pictures on how to do the short shifter install on Gen III from underneath of the car? What about mounting points? Is it easy to install them during the shifter install?

Short shifter - MGW or B&B?

How many hours should the dealer charge for the shifter install? Does it make sense to install polyurethane tranny mounts as well? If so what does it take to install those?

Short shifter - MGW or B&B?

How about Hurst shifter? It too claims to shorten throw by 40%? If that is the case why MGW?

Short shifter - MGW or B&B?

Jon, can you give a little more info? What is "B + M"? Does that mean B&B plus tranny polyurethane mounting pads? If so why B&B? Is there a difference in the install difficulty between B&B and MGW shifter?

Short shifter - MGW or B&B?

Anyone had experience with both shifters in a gen 3? I read a lot of info on the forum and while majority of the people seem to swing towards MGW I've read some comments that give a big pro to B&B. According to the research on this forum what I saw so far, is that MGW provides shorter shifting...

Please help me determine if I have tranny problem.

Mark, one thing came to my mind, if it is a clutch problem wouldn't I be hearing grinding noise when I was trying to push in 3rd gear down from the 4th? Because there was no grinding noise at all.

Please help me determine if I have tranny problem.

No didnot see any noticeable particles in the "old" oil from tranny. Also, didn't do the oil analysis :-(.

Please help me determine if I have tranny problem.

Mark, my car has over 12K miles on it, would it make sense instead of checking for the clutch check and bleed the system to install whole new clutch? If so would you recommend to go with the OEM or something aftermarket? Also would installing MGW shifter help with my issue?

    MGW shifter question

Give us update from the track, I am especially interested in that "4th down to 3rd under load" as that is my biggest concern at the track (see my post).

No change in the clutch behavior.

Please help me determine if I have tranny problem.

Yes, I meant to say I was going from 1st to 5 through each gear at a time 1-2-3-4-5 and same with 1-6. During the track session I could not downshipf from 4th gear to 3rd, however, once I took the car off of the track I shifted no problem to all gears including 3rd.

Please help me determine if I have tranny problem.

Little history, I have 05 SRT10, a month ago (early October) I was running HPDE school for the first time and most of the time ran in 3rd gear, however, I noticed couple of times when I was downshifting to 3rd from 4th gear I could not do it. At the time I felt like I am missing the 3rd gear and...

    Door adjustment?

Mark, since I have Gen3 what do you suggest I do if "towel" technique is not the right thing? Adjust at the hinge? If I do it right, I am sure the door will be closing much better, but wouldn't my door be slightly offline with the rest of the body?

    Door adjustment?

When I close door slowly it bites the latch, but need to be pushed hard to be lifted about 1/8 of an inch to be closed completely. What is this towel versus car jack technique people talking about on this forum?

    Door adjustment?

I noticed that driver side door on my 05 vert may have sugged over time and not I really need to slam it to fully close it. Is there a way to adjust this thing? Is it covered under 7 years extended warranty?

Splitter on only half the fascia ???

01sapphirebob, does it help to keep your tires on the carpet, or you just keep your viper feet from the cold ground so it doesn't catch a cold :-).

Splitter on only half the fascia ???

Who has rear view camera installed with the aftermarket head unit?

Hm, I was looking at costco.com and could not find it. Also, on AV forum I was told that the costco wireless camera did not work well, producing too much snow effect. Do you get the same issue?

Who has rear view camera installed with the aftermarket head unit?

Yeah if you have a coupe I think you can get away without drilling any holes. For the vert I am afraid I will not be able to get away withoug drilling a hole...

Who has rear view camera installed with the aftermarket head unit?

Hey guys, I installed Pioneed Avic BT90 months ago and now I am thinking of adding rear view camera to this unit. I was wondering if anyone here have ran the wires from the rear of the car to the head unit in a convertible? How hard was it? Did you have to drill any holes? What kind of rear view...

Looking for the rear fin plate.

Where can I find rear fin plate replacement? Looking for the rear fin plate without the fins, preferably used. I was changing diff oil on weekends and noticed that driver corner of the fin plate is broken and sure under high speeds catching air and make my rear bumper act like a parchute.

    AB's wires

I was in your boat, I didn't want to take the intake off, eventhough everyone else told me to that I have to. Well, I was able to do the wire swap without taking off intake :) yep that is right. If I remember corectly I was able to do myself 5 or 6 wires no problem, but for those that hard to...
