O.k. On my srt vert there was another thing I noticed that troubled me. There is a black piece of plastic that runs underneath only half the fascia on my car. It looks like a splitter. Has anybody else seen this??? Now the front of my fascia does have some scratches on it but it dosen't look like this piece is broken. Any thoughts???

Heres the black strip i'm referring to on the left side of the fascia

Heres the right side of the fascia with no black strip

Heres a middle view so to speak. I would say this strip runs across about 60% of the fascia

01sapphirebob, does it help to keep your tires on the carpet, or you just keep your viper feet from the cold ground so it doesn't catch a cold :).

The carpet is spozed to slow the process of flat spotting on tires (during storage).

It also doesn't hurt to keep the rubber from being in constant contact with the concrete. Not sure if there is some chemical reaction that can happen, but I've seen tire rubber get discolored after leaving a car in one place for a long time.

The pictures are soo close - it's almost hard to tell what we are looking at. Since you have SSG, I'm assuming it's a Gen 4 and this "splitter" that you mention maybe something new to the Gen 4 that hasn't been discussed before. On the Gen 3, there were 2 maybe foot long plastic extensions on each side just behind the front tire that were supposed to create some wind turbulence to help cool the cat converters - but nothing like you describe? These little "windamajiggy" things seem to disappear on many Vipers.

The piece is a black plastic strip that is just after the end of the fascia underneath the car. It is a gen. IV.
