If the depreciation does not bother you get the Gen V. Financially the Gen II would be the better move and is probably just as cool of a car as the Gen V will be.
Go to a car show or C&C and look at a few that people have had installed and ask the owner about their experience. Look at a few of the vendors jobs before you trust them with your car. The installer makes ALL the difference and you want to make sure you have a good installer. The installer...
He'll never sell it with his inbox full. LOL I agree, if it is stil available I would be all over that. 50g is actually too cheap, he should have listed it for 60 and dropped down to 55 making whoever bought if feel as if they got a great deal. Viper like that take a long time to sell at 50g...
I don't think he ever said he wanted it cheap. I am sure he knows he will have to pay a premium for a premium car or may have to search much longer to find that elusive "deal". That said I recommend paying a little more and getting a quality car, I feel the experience will be much better...
I rarely get to see a Gen II on the road, especially in one of my favorite colors like Sapphire or Graphite. I have to agree it is a rare treat when you do encounter one and they do have a road presence like no other. Weird thing is I see a lot of them at C&C but just never see them driving on...
Viper values really do not bother me at all since I have no intent in selling anyway, at least not for a long time and who knows what 10 or more years will bring for the Viper or gasoline powered cars for that matter. That said, everything is for sale for the right price.
I am watching BJ Auction on Speed and a 2002 Graphite RT10 just went across the block and sold for $69,000. It had a window sticker on the window which kinda tells me it was probably a super low mile car. It was a rerun of BJ and according to the tv listing is was from 2010 which surprises me...
There was 4 or 5 Vipers at the last C&C I was at and that did not include mine since I did not drive it this week. I am seeing a lot more of them as I used to but they still appear very rare to me. That said I have never seen another Sapphire/Silver in my area.
My 01 blows very hard and will freeze you out of the car even on the hottest days. Is your high speed working? I know some times there is a fuse for the high speed fan. Not sure if the Viper is like this also.
I have gotten caught in a REALLY hard rain one time since I have owned my GTS and wash it all the time and have never gotten a drip of water in the interior. Knock wood...
Where is the best place to sit to watch the race. I was thinking either bleacher 3 or 4. Where have others sat and how was the view? There seemed to be a lot of action and accidents at this corner.
We went last year and had a blast. I would like to do Sat and Sunday this year. I would like to get better seats this year. I had my eye on an awesome spot last year at the top corner of a bleacher where you could see in both directions but am guessing it will be real hard to get those seats...
Congrats, nice choice on the color combo. I second the come on out to C&C West Chester. There is always something interesting to see there. (Starbucks @ Dilworth Plaza Right off of 202)
I do not think nannies had ANYTHING to do with this accident. The guy driving the silver Ferrari lost control, nannies or not. Then the tragic part is where the guy following him swerved into the other lane to avoid him and hit head on with the bike driver. Nannies can only do so much to save...
If you plan on driving it I would go for the non ACR car. I hear they ride rough, the shocks are VERY expensive and tend to leak often. I guess you could buy an ACR, swap the shocks out for a regular set and store the originals.
Investment wise the ACR is probably the better car due to the...
