Anybody know this car? Sounds like a GREAT deal for that price with 1400 miles on it.
Does it have a story that goes with it?
Cars for Sale: 2001 Dodge Viper GTS in SOUND BEACH , NY 11789: Coupe Details - 261781991 - AutoTrader.com
Which style do you like? If it is the first style (Gen I or II) "I" would get a 01 or 02 since it has ABS brakes. The 01 and 02's also come in the colors "I" prefer (Sapphire or Graphite). The only exception to this rule is if you want to supercharge or turbo it and if that's the case I would...
So did you buy Bernie's 2002 Graphite/Silver Viper yet? What are you waiting for, I am sure it is perfect, all his cars are.
Keep us informed and good luck with your search. :2tu: Make sure you post pics once you get one.
In that case "I" would ship it. Save the miles for more enjoyable drives while in Florida during sunny weather. JMHO
I wish I remembered who posted the ling about his story trying to drive his car home in Calif and got stuck in a snow storm in the mountains and barely made it up the ramp to a...
Yes, Bernie's cars are TOP quality. How far are you from his showroom? It is worth the ride to go look at his cars. And if you are too far he is one of the "few" dealers I would trust buying a car site unseen from. :2tu: There are NOT many cars left in Graphite (wasn't many to begin with)...
Looks like Bernie already sold one of his Graphite/Silver. I figured the cheaper one would not last long.
My best advice is get what/the color you want and get a quality car. The experience will be so much better and well worth the extra money you pay.
Thank you Toby. You hit the nail on the head. I like red cars but could never own one. This is why they make both salt and pepper. That said red was made just about every year and colors like Graphite and Sapphire were one year colors that they did not make many of. I paid top dollar for my...
Bernie has nothing but TOP quality cars. The Graphite/Silver is also a very rare color combo and in my opinion one of the best combo's made. I was faced with this exact decision a few years ago when I fell in love with a Sapphire/Silver car that Bernie had and it was priced a little high...
I have them on a few of my cars and love them. If you do it just make sure you get the right installer. I am very fortunate that I have one of the BEST installers in the country close to me. I have actually had 3m and X-Pel tell me this guy is one of the best they have ever seen and the work...
What did they do? Did they have to do any touch up with paint or did they just polish them out? If they did do TU did they use a brush or air brush etc... Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.
There ad looks a little too good to be true but you never know. I have seen paintless...
Dom, you may want to look into this method since I feel it is much safer than just using a QD. This is what I usually do with my Viper although I do do a full wash occasionally so that I can get the wheel barrels 100% clean etc...
Are you sure that that side is latching? Pull up on the wheel well and make sure both sides are latched. When I first got mine every once in a while I noticed mine would not latch on the one side and looked like yours. I made a slight adjustment and now it latches perfect everytime and looks...
Investment NO, hold its value better than a corvette or most cars YES.
This is one of the reasons I bought a Viper also although I don't expect to make a dime. The car would need to be worth millions to even break even. Figure you have to pay approx 100 a month just for insurance and then add...
My hood stays up fine. After reading all the stories I am going to leave it alone. I will just recruit somebody else to help me open it since once it is open it stays up fine. I wasn't thinking about it closing too easy. Dodged a bullet on this one. Just proves how helpful this forum is...
Glad I did a search and read this post before lubing my hood springs. I have been thinking my hood is a real pain in the butt to open by myself since it is so heavy and awkward and I was going to lube the hinges/springs to see if this helped. Should I NOT do this?
Unfortunately it is not the price that is the problem. NOBODY is buying cars at any price right now due to the uncertainty of the market. This is also why dealers are offering such low trade in values on the cars since they can't sell them either. I just wish I waited and was in the maket for...
Can anyone run a Carfax for me? If so PM me and I will give you the vin?
I know I am pushing my luck with this one but can anybody run the service records on this GM car, it is an 09 Z06.
Thanks in advance. :2tu:
