    2003 cobra beats 2003 viper?

California SRT's ?? Anyone with a VIN yet?

Re: California SRT\'s ?? Anyone with a VIN yet? After 42 views (some of which are presumably by Californians with SRTs on order), let me be the first to say....No VIN yet here, and I placed my order for a black SRT right away with Pemberton. FWIW. --Mike

New SRT article (brief) and AOL poll...

John, Thanks for the info.... Of course, no one has told us where the poll is yet, so I didn't have the luxury of reading that caveat. Anyone? anunakki, You think the Enzo is ugly? Hmmmm.... I like it. Just goes to show you how subjective styling is.

New SRT article (brief) and AOL poll...

Couldn't find the poll. Where's the poll? BTW, those results show that people have no taste.... Sorry, but if money weren't an object, I'd take the Enzo.

    C&D SRT review: uninspiring....

GenXgts, Amen to what you said. Mike, You said: "Viper customers pull 11.6's at 120mph. The SRT will pull low 11's at 123-124mph in customers hands... fact....deal with it." I'm sorry, but that statement makes it sound like "Any Joe Blow customer will achieve low 11's in the SRT". I say it...

    C&D SRT review: uninspiring....

Hans et al, I appreciate that you love the SRT and will stand by it regardless of what happens. I'm glad you're happy how things are turning out with the SRT. I, however, am ambivalent at best. Sorry if this is going to make you puke again. Fact is: SRT styling is "average" at best. We...

    Edmunds Article on the SRT-10

SRT10, I know I sound down on the SRT today. FWIW, I am getting slammed at work, so maybe I'm "venting" by slamming on the SRT. Anyway, I will take delivery of mine (if the frickin' CA emissions BS ever gets resolved -- oops, there I go again being negative), and I hope I will love it...

    C&D SRT review: uninspiring....

SRT10, No, I am not determined to dis the SRT no matter what. I have a 2003 on order with Woodhouse, so I'm hoping it will live up to expectations. Let me be frank: the SRT styling doesn't live up to my expectations. Then we were promised that "performance was #1 for the SRT" and that...

    Edmunds Article on the SRT-10

I agree with the above consensus on styling, eloquently summed up by onerareviper about the new styling not standing the test of time like the GenI/II styling.... Now, with respect to performance, I was interest to read this: "Performance, as one might expect, is almost otherworldly. Of...

    C&D SRT review: uninspiring....

Maxwedge, Hey -- how's it going? Lunch some Friday? To be fair, the SRT is rated at 525 ft-lbs. Frank, I didn't hunt hard at all. I went on-line and looked up the only Gen II RT/10 review I could find in C&D to be fair in the skid-pad comparison, and what I found was that one. Dunn, Yeah...

    C&D SRT review: uninspiring....

I'm not sure how excited I am to spend a bunch of additional $$ for an SRT-10 vs. a Gen II RT/10 given the similarity in performance numbers, and especially given the blander styling of the SRT. Here's a comparison of the SRT performance numbers from the November 2002 C&D review vs. performance...

    VOI.8 .... YES!

I would love to see a VOI 8 next year, since I wasn't able to attend this one due to work conflicts. However, the statement "See you at VOI 8" does not imply that VOI 8 is next year.... Just an observation!

    SRT-10 DRIVING IMPRESSIONS (pic too!)

Jim, I'm not at VOI 7, so unfortunately, I have nothing to report on how the silver SRT looks in person. The photo above looks pretty good, and also the black looks good in the VOI photos I've seen -- the SRT I have on order is black, so I was pleased to see this. I don't think we have...

What ET and MPH did the SRT run in the drags?

Thanks for the info, folks, Needless to say 12.0 at 120 is not what I hoped to hear, but I will concede that track conditions may have not been the best. BTW, I did some physics at one point and concluded that the difference in drag coefficient between GTS and RT/10 won't affect ET in the 1/4...

    An SRT-10 convert

Ben, first of all, congrats! But I'm curious how you think you're getting an '03 next spring if you just placed your order now? I thought the '03s were all sold out. I know you had certs, but if you didn't place your order in Feb, isn't it too late?

PICS HERE! What car company builds a show car....Part II

Joe, Thanks for the pix! As you know, I was (am?) one of the whiners, but I have to admit, the revised look is much improved. Thanks for restoring my faith! BTW, what color is that car? I know I need a new monitor, but the color looks almost mauve. Is the car actually black and just is...

How wide will the SRT-10 be?

James, Your points are well taken. I think the SRT looks "best" (i.e., least unimpressive) in black and yellow. I can see waiting until '04 for yellow. It will be interesting to see how much demand there really is for the SRT. Obviously there's some percentage of those with SRTs on order...

How wide will the SRT-10 be?

Agree with garolittle....In fact, in this photo, it looks like the SRT is less wide than the RT/10.... Also, yuckydog, do you have a cert and an order? If not, you will be waiting until 2004, unless you want to buy in the aftermarket, which will not be cheap....
