Torquemonster,
Don't get so caught up in this rwhp / mph / et calculation. These calculations are typically based on fitting existing data to a simple equation for quick and dirty estimation. In the absence of real, measurable numbers, these calculations are sometimes the only thing you have...
Just thought I would add my two cents...
I drove the car to work this morning, and out for lunch. This car is fast. It simply kicks a$$.
It's not a dyno queen making incredible horsepower, but it can sure put what power it makes to good use. I don't think I have ever heard or read of any...
After driving to and from the last VOI, our zone rendezvous, and the One Lap of America... I would definitely like to have cruise control for every car I own...
So my opinion is that I would like to see cruise control as an option. That way you don't have to order it if you don't want it.
As...
Anybody here have any contacts at State Farm Insurance?
I am having problems with them only paying for repair of parts instead of replacement of the parts.
I would appreciate it if anyone here can "hook me up" with someone with some authority to "do the right thing" and pay for proper repairs...
I believe Heffner opened the game with 534 rwhp and 525 rwtq. The bar is now a little higher...
Max Power: 553.9
Max Torque: 534.6
These numbers are rear wheel, SAE corrected values from an independent Dynojet 248C.
The Mods:
Custom air intake system, headers, high flow cats, cat back...
Come on Dave... Those heads and lack of cats must have given you more than just 20 HP over the CompCoupe package. I sure hope so, I want my SRT-10 to make much more than 560 HP.
Even a win at Road America would not have been enough to claim overall victory. In the final results, the Viper team...
I saw ~20 hp improvement in rear wheel horsepower on an otherwise stock 97 GTS (424 rwhp after K&N box). Had the system on the car for several years with no complaints. I did not do a comparison with smooth tubes and K&N panel filters in the stock box. I have since installed headers...
475 SAE corrected HP and 505 SAE corrected torque to the tires.
That's with headers and exhaust with ultra high flow cats and a low restriction air intake system.
Stock numbers were 445 and 483 corrected to the tires.
I apologize for not posting scans of the dyno curves, but I don't...
It would have been nice to improve on my stock 1/4 mile time, but...
A guy I know whipped up a set of stainless headers for the SRT-10 real quick... Purge welded, Burns collectors, 1 3/4" tubes,... Plan to dyno it later this week...
Don't see much information posted on modifications to the new SRT's. Come on guys, let's see what the new car can do. Looks like it shouldn't have taken very long to get something on the dyno. We heard about some big claims a while back, but then everything went silent for the next several...
Re: John Myricks 2003 Viper SRT-10 1/4 Mile Video
Had three runs in the elevens... 11.86, 11.94, and 11.99. Here's the details of the best run...
60ft-------1.9748
330 ft-----5.1748
1/8 mph--94.75
1/8 ET-----7.7805
1000 ft----9.993
1/4 mph---122.95
1/4 ET-----11.8657
This was about...
Had a little better luck with my SRT-10 at the drag strip. Second pass resulted in the following:
60 ft 1.9748
330 ft 5.1748
1/8 mph 94.75
1/8 et 7.7805
1000 ft 9.993
1/4 mph 122.95
1/4 et 11.8657
Bone stock... no modification what so ever.
With such a slow 60 ft time, you...
My car had ~250 miles on it when dynoed. As stated above, the numbers were 445 HP and 483 tq (SAE corrected) to the wheels. From my personal experience, the rear wheel horsepower of my cars has not increased with additional miles. I also have other friends who have done multiple dyno's at...
I ordered my car on January 18, 2001. No problems with Northwest Dodge. Everything was exactly as agreed to previously. Only suprise was how fast they got the floor mats, trunk carpet kit, and the real license plates. I got those in less than a week.
I have a black SRT-10 in Sugar Land. Got it last Friday. Dyno'd on Monday. 445 rwhp and 483 rwtq (SAE corrected). Plan to bring the car to Otto's BBQ off 59 at the Fountains in Stafford Saturday night to show others.
Following the installation instructions provided by T&D, my rocker stud bosses on the cylinder head need to be cut approx 1/8 inch. This is on a set of stock 97 GTS heads. I can't imagine that my heads are any different than others, so what is everybody else doing? Ignore the T&D instructions...
Yes the purpose of the event was to "to go around as fast as possible". But that does not classify the event as a "race".
"Going around as fast as possible" does not cause such damage to the automobile. The damage was caused by the collision. I've been to many driving events at race tracks and...
It's not a good idea to make assumptions based on 1/4 mile times. For example - look further down the One Lap results and you will see two Z06 Corvettes. One ran 12.9 and the other 14.1. Not only are these two times significantly different, neither are representative of what a stock Z06 can do...
Neither Viper is basically stock as a few people on this board have stated... Here are a few things that might help with your questions...
There is a message posted by Spencer on One Lap of America bulletin board thanking Dodge PVO. Spencer teamed with Brian for the previous two One Lap's...
A big difference between belt driven superchargers and exhaust driven turbochargers is the relationship between engine RPM and boost.
Turbochargers typically include a wastegate that is used to divert exhaust gas away from the turbocharger to control boost. The turbo system can be tuned to...

Ron,
Did you dyno your car with the smooth tubes and high flow filters before and after the Belanger system? I see that you attribute 31 RWHP out of 431 RWHP to the Belanger system.
Although the RWHP for my car (97 GTS) is very close to yours (~437) only 13 of mine came as a result of the...
