Mine pops but more popping is always better!!!
I go around just revving it slightly and letting it come down just for kicks when i go by people on the sidewalks :headbang:
the red light is there to tell you to start your shift so it is before redline meaning within the designed operating range.
Also, doesn't the Mopar ECU raise the redline a couple hundred RPM? This to me says the stock gen iv redline is pretty conservative.
Hurry, the anticipation is killing me!
I actually considered busting out some foam and the hot wire cutter last night to see if i could fab one up myself!
It was somewhat to be funny, but take these thread examples and tell me what type of impression you get.
What is everyone's credit score? Mine is 800, but just curious what everyone else has.
How much money does the average Viper owner make? I make 4 million a year, but curious what...
I am considering selling mine. I have an offer in on some land and if I get it, I will be building a house so may need to adjust my assets to free up some cash :(
Here's a thread with info and pics I posted a couple weeks ago. 5200 miles currently...
Looks great so far! Just a word of advice.... I would lower the car and then decide if you want a front lip. I think it may change your mind after you see how little clearance you have in the front after dropping it.
Thanks! It's listed, but here's the list from my post.
Products used:
- Chemical Guys Citrus Wash
- Clay bars
- Griots Garage Large and small polishers
- 2000 and 3000 grit wetsand paper for deep scratches
- 6" Suburf Pads for hard water spots
- 3" yellow pad or orange pad + M105
- 3"...
Update: My Roe HF's stopped throwing a CEL. Turned out there was an extra 02 bung on one side and it didn't have a plug in it. Once I threaded a plug in, the CEL went away.
So add me to the "Gen IV with HF Cats and no code list!".
Lol. Already had taken the liberty. I have to drive onto 1" thick blocks to get a low profile jack under the car so I needed the flaps gone in order to have clearance.
Pretty bad actually. Luckily, most of the rash was in the bottom couple inches. Sadly, on these cars, it only takes a couple drives for things to get beat up.
Overall shots with corrected paint, stance, and wheels!
Pretty much done for awhile. I am happy with where it's at. I have a vanity plate on the way (WYD OPN), and need some tint. Other than that, time to cruise!
Paint Correction:
Even though the car only had 2500 miles on it when I bought it, the first owner took poor care of the paint and would put the car cover on with the car still dirty, causing small scratches in the clear and lots of swirling, hard water spots, etc.
Because of this, decided...
Figured I'd post some pics and info on what I have done to my Gen IV over the winter. I bought it late last fall, it's a 2008 and was purchased with 2500 miles on the clock.
Exhaust
I bought some Roe Racing 3" high flow pipes with race cats a few months back. Since it was winter, I...
I tried with a regular strut compressor. Does not work.
Ended up running by Meineke and took them 20 minutes. Also, getting the forks off the rear is a royal PITA if you are installing new coilovers into them (such as Vipair).
I have the Roe HF's with a custom magnaflow exhaust on my Gen IV. Really woke the car up from a sound perspective! And zero drone still!
Only bummer is that I am getting a CEL. I would have straight piped it if I would have known that it would still throw a code.
