Wing debate
The basics of drag and lift occur all the way down at speeds of 20 MPh.On production based cars aero lift is what at higher speeds a wing is used to compensate for, however the use of a wing can and will not always increase drag. A great book to read on the subject is a book called Competition...- Mike H

Not impressed with welds
Every one of our raqce Vipers has had the steering rack rewelded with gussets as this is a problem spot that brakes when road racing. I think DC even made a recall on that and have a gusset kit for it.- Mike H

New Car & Driver
fIRST TIME AT ENGLISHTOWN, AND I HAVE NOT DRAG RACED IN 20 YEARS AND MY GEN I 1996 VIPER RAN A 12.21. CAR HAS HEADERS AND SMOOTH TUBES AND CAT BACK EXHAUST. NOT BAD FOR A ROOKIE- Mike H

PDA Events
PDA events are great and usually lots of track times. Unfortunately my race Viper is still apart (blown engine) SO I will not make the VIR event with the rest of Snake Pit Racing, so looks like I have to jump into the ol reliable street Viper and count me in at pocono.- Mike H

Glen Event 2001?

Stock Brakes are for the....! Roe Racing does it again!
I am confused (as usual). I read only part of the thread before it was pulled. I have the Roe upgraded master cylinder on my race Viper. The rear brake setup is the vette package but with brembo's up front. SO FAR the sytem has worked great. Of course I have porsche ducts and air ducts also. I...- Mike H

what helmet for drag racing?
Any helmet with a snell rating of 95 is good, but you should consider a helmet made of the newer lighter Kevlar materials.....It is your head you are trying to protect and I think it is always the best policy to have the very best in safety equipment! Accidents DO HAPPEN!- Mike H

Special Painting on Helmet
Forget Babbitt.....he did several of my team mates helmets...( Snake Pit Racing)...and my team mate Chris Barone (shark car) helmet was the worst helmet paint job we ever saw....I went to Moes Helmets...in Texas...His paint job on my helemt was incredible!...It is red, white and blue, painted to...- Mike H

BOBBY ARCHER WINS 5TH CONSECUTIVE SCCA T1 RACE
Right on Rich.....glad to see once again the Vipers of Archer winning.....like I said on the SCCA forum....the car is one thing ...but Archer is another...restrict him all you want ....he is still gonna prevail.....GOOD JOB! SCCA T1 Any of you?
I beleive the wing and brakes will have to go, must be stock setup...or this moves you into the ITE class...cat back is allowed....look up 99T1...as he is one of our team mates with an ACR in T-1....our 4 other Vipers are all in ITE...Morgan will let you know all that is T-1 allowed..- Mike H

Tilton triple disc clutch

Paul.....I AGREE 100%!!!!. Its funny that as long as the Vettes were on top with how much Hp and suspension difference over Trans Am, Camaro, and Mustangs you never did hear a word from them. Road Course/Race Events
If you enjoy the Pocono track look up PDA Racing as they run events their all the time...WWW.IMP-AUTO.COM...they are their in July or go to TRACKMASTERS.COM they are Watkins Glen next week I beleive or Go to DELAWARE BMWCCA they are at Pocono next week also.....Good Luck...have Fun ...BE SAFE!!- Mike H
