Rear window in RT/10 shattered!!!!
No biggie, I will make a template anyway. If the rear window can be reproduced, that company should make it known that they can do so. Seems rear windows are one of those silly expensive items when you need one on short notice.- Tom F&L GoR

The braking force (actually it's a clamping force which becomes a torque when it resists rotational movement) is determined by the brake fluid pressure multiplied by the area it is applied to. What decal to put back on powdercoated calipers?
I put them on my brake covers and they held up fine. It's a better quality version of vinyl when used for brakes.- Tom F&L GoR

Is that bad? My glass one bends when I get one pin in place and have to push the other end of the glass so the second pin can latch. I would rather have a material that tolerates bending... I think.- Tom F&L GoR

Considering buying a 2000 RT/10 Have questions
The driver and the battery sit on the left side, making the right side light. I think mine was about 100 lbs difference between LF and RF. ABS or not aside, the balance between how much the front and how much the rear brakes help to slow the car can be made much much closer to ideal with a simple rear brake swap. lowering rt 10?
No, you will need to get lowering springs specific to the early RTs. Eibach made them, I think they are hard to find. The 96 and up GTS and RT shocks/springs are different lengths than Gen 1 cars.- Tom F&L GoR

Wanted to get coil-overs but been told...
Besides better and adjustable shocks, you can select your choice of spring rate corner weighting will balance front wheel braking to avoid flat spots can lower car. Quick oil question.....
To answer your actual question, I use 15W-40 diesel oil. If you have to go looking, 0W-40. Does it really ever get that hot in England to need a 15W-50?- Tom F&L GoR

Turn Signals ?
Turn signal flasher power goes through the ignition switch, then fuse #19. Headlights are powered by fuse #14, then through the headlight switch, then through fuse #3 and #4. Many miles left. Recently had to buy new tires, too. Recall our recent poll indicated a greater percentage of RT/10s are used as daily drivers than GTSs. We go further than just to Wally-Mart.- Tom F&L GoR

Good hint about small hole/bigger hole. Thanks. I bought both sheets at Home Depot. Sticker said Lexan, and Google says Lexan is a polycarbonate. But there are several types of polycarbonate, too. Makrolon seems popular at the glass shops and is claimed to be equivalent to Lexan.- Tom F&L GoR

I made some practice side windows from a cheaper acrylic sold at Home Depot for storm doors. I used the tool to score a line (many times) and it snaps to a nice clean break. After my practice sizing, I made some windows of the 0.093" Lexan. Do the same score and snap, except it won't snap...- Tom F&L GoR

Mine, too, but only 0.093" thickness. It's OK, but may crack at the holes drilled for the fasteners. My side windows did, so I'm redoing them in 0.125". The glass shop had it because he said that's what the race car guys want...- Tom F&L GoR
