Sounds easy, Looks easy and is easy unless the darn thing decides to fight you. Spent hours trying to get the thing out, gave up for the day and it practically fell out the next morning. Same putting it back. Was just getting to the point where i was convinced i had bent something and it wasn't...
I went from 376 RWHP with stock headers, cats and corsa on a 97 to 413 RWHP with belanger headers and roe cats.
I'm sure part of the gap in increase between vipers with headers would be the stock headers in the 97 being cast vs later tubular ones.
Not too sure what viperdoctor is basing his opinion on, the first sequence in the video was a run after the crash as stated in the post and by that time beloved would be handeling like a real dog with all that damage. So yes while there was over steer coming out of the corner I’m not overly...
He did say hes not been paying as much attention to his girlfriend as the cars so you never know.
Have been to that workshop also, it took 20 minutes queuing up in a multi million dollar traffic jam behind Ferrari's, lambos and a Mclaren Mercedes SLR etc to get out and on the road,
Re: CAUTION:::Re: WIN A 1998 VIPER GT2 52/100 for £1 ($1.70)
Yellow32, Nobody here thinks VOI is a scam and nobody that might be drifting through would on the strength of that post think so either so there is no need to be resentful other then if it did actually make the point intended. It was...
Re: CAUTION:::Re: WIN A 1998 VIPER GT2 52/100 for £1 ($1.70)
i've no chance then of either the bubbly or the car then :mad:
Ps I was just making the point that with the same whois data and intermeweb investigation VOI could look just a jubious
Re: CAUTION:::Re: WIN A 1998 VIPER GT2 52/100 for £1 ($1.70)
I don’t think this is a scam, poorly organised for something that is now international yes, but there is a real GT2 viper and the owner does want to get rid of it, he is a well known owner within the VCA and UK VCA and is also a bit...
Re: Lost a door speaker? Door button inop? How to fix your door loom wiring
I was fooled by the apparent condition of the wires and harness when i pulled back the boot at the door end, it looked perfect and i could not dislodge any wires with reasonable force. it wasn't until after drawing a...
Great post, did mine last month also, didn't replace the wire, but rather just soldered them back together, in hindsight i will probably have to be back in there someday to fix it again. At least i will know what i am doing next time so i can skip the trauma of stripping the door down to find a...
Just push the fuel line onto the filter (to loosen the connection), hold the plastic clips back onto the female connector (so they don't lock again at the next step) and pull apart. Be prepared to get soaked in fuel.
Good luck,
Re: How\'s this for a convoy !
Yep we were told we had to hand in our cameras and phones, which we dutifully did, honestly :smirk: Not that there was anything worth snapping other than our cars on the track.
The track time was very short lived and we were a little uncertain as to the layout...
Ha Ha, i wish. There are two more vipers within 10 miles of mine that i know of and another 97 blue and white i spot quite frequently parked up in a car park about 2 miles away.
But yeah, even so we get a pretty good reaction. Should be even better next week when we get 22 of the country's...
IIRCC When I did it I took the door trim off but as its all only accessible through the speaker hole I think that was unnecessary.
So take the speaker out.
Stick your hand through the speaker hole in the door and grope around the bottom of the door, you should find a loose piece of plastic...
They seem to be buying the decoy wizard we sent back. :smirk:
Neil, don't forget its your turn to feed the real one, and don't let those chains get too loose, we don't want him escaping.
Chuck look forward to meeting you at Steve's. :2tu:
Push the line and filter towards each other, hold the plastic ring/insert on the connector back towards what its fixed to(ie line or filter depending which end your doing) and then separate line and filter whilst holding the plastic ring under compression.
Simple eh? Well I know what i mean...
why not try the straight pipes as that'll probably cost you about $10 for some pipe down at pep boys and an afternoon fitting. if its to loud get the high flows.
Its what I'm doing although I'm just getting longer turn outs on the headers i have on order. If i don't like it I'll order some...
sorry cop magnet but my 97 manual is properly printed and bound like a book.
but so long as it has all the detail in and you didn't pay top $ at least you have something.
You should shop the vendor for copyright though
Hi chuck.
Yes I may have been doing Homers S’s favourite food ;)
The fluid was fairly new, as I changed it in the fall. Of course that may have been the problem although it has had a reasonable number of run in miles since as it doesn’t hibernate.
I guess I haven’t got much to loose now...
Hi Larry thanks for that. I have a service manual and I think I can make the tool to release the clutches from a bolt and some nuts and washers. What I am not sure about is spreading the case to get the carrier out. Is this really necessary or will it come out without doing it. 0.01” doesn’t...
I'll wait and see how much the repair bill is likely to come to before I answer that one. I fear shipping such a lump to the UK would probably be nearly as much as the diff cost though.
If anyone wants a solid viper axle for drag racing though let me know i may have one available ;)
