Well I’ve been stupid and had a bit of a play in an empty car park, but now my diff wont release and the wheels skid and jump on corners although straight lines are fine.
I’ve had a search and only found this which is similar...
Sounds like the vacuum bleeder was a waste of money then. All sounded good in theory and if only it didn’t suck air in via the bleeder would be great. Might try some ptfe tape around the thread next time and see if that helps and try it on the other cars failing that, relegate it to other fluid...
Just got myself a vacuum bleeder for the breaks but am having trouble with air being sucked in through the thread of the bleed nipple giving me bubbles in the bleeder tube. Because of this I can’t be sure I have all the air out of the system and a good bleed.
Does anyone else suffer this...
Was up there last month in a rental buik century of all things, aptly named as you have to be 100 to buy one.
Saw a black viper just heading up as we got to the cattle grid on the way down. Waved at him but in the POS we were in he had no reason to wave back. Automotive highlight of the trip...
Now which is it, were you driving or your friend.
Sorry for doubting you  but 140, 170, 192 whichever, on that road with other people around is stupid whoever was driving.
No I think he meant that was one 70 MPH pass not a 170 MPH pass. At 170 over bumps big enough to see in the white line he would have been flying gumball style
Spend most of our holidays in the st petes area out on sunset beach. Can’t offer much by way of help from over here but we will be back to spend our tourist $$ in your economy as soon as we can.
Cat 4 that’s scary stuff
I hope you guys all come through ok and all the best.
Autozone in Panama City FL had a deal on Mobil 1, buy so many Qts and get a free filter. not to sure if it is worth it as I didn’t look to closely as I doubt the airline security would have been to happy with me showing up with 10qts of oil in my case to fly back to the UK, but may be worth a...
Thanks Sean. Part of the reason for getting the VEC was I was suspicious of the mixture setting due to the smell when hard on the gas.
Today after the battery disconnect the car seemed to be running great but then when it started to get heat soaked and after it re learnt the engine it seemed...
The high was still set at zero and the low was only a few notches positive as I haven’t really got it tuned correctly yet. When it started playing up I set it back to zero but it didn’t change much. It still seems to go up and down just shifted down the scale so when its lean there are no...
Ok so anybody got any ideas on this.
Normally the VEC 1 meter does the usual dance of the lights but on a couple of occasions now after a bit of hard driving and a fairly warm engine I have had the vec 1 read really low, ie when you would expect the red light to be on I have no lights and when...
Hi to all you experts out there, I have a question for you. My 97 GTS has had the following services that I know about.
97 - 2000 no records
May 2000 @500 miles 30,000 mile service
Sept 2001 @2500 miles 15,000 mile service
2002 nothing
Then I brought it and it now has 3700 miles and I am...
Unfortunately at the moment yes. That was part of the annoying thing about it; we had spent all Easter in the garden building a shed to move the junk taking up all the garage space into. Two more weeks and the cars would have been safely tucked up in the garage.
Reminds me of one of the lines...
Yeah, tend to find most things just have the $ replaced by a £, except gas when they swap the gallon for a litre as well.
I was thinking of picking up the bit when I am out there next time, but at that price I think I will just stick with the one I have stuck back together and get a new one if...
Please Guys no fighting on my first thread. We fortunately live in the free bit of the world, which means we can pretty much say what we want. Doesn’t make it right or mean others have to agree or listen. Personally I think I some way invited the comment by talking about land mining around my...
Have you seen this thread. Now those are cool tubes. :usa:

 indeed that isn’t a cheap snake on the back there, must be the Sneaky Pete print is done from platinum. There was me thinking the badges for the corvette were a bit steep at $50 a set  . Thanks for the info Chuck. Fortunately the only saving grace of the toe rags was they left...
Like it says, the vandals thought the Sneaky Pete badge on the back of my 97 GTS would look better in their bedroom or something rather than on the back of my Viper  . Unfortunately in the process of finding out it is not a badge, but really the centre stop light and hence a bit...
Re: I\'m curious about our over sea Viper owners.
Owning a 99 Camaro, 02 C5 Corvette and now a Blue/White 97 Viper GTS (3 weeks now), all of which are pretty rare sights in the UK you get the following reactions.
Camaro - You sometimes get people looking, or you come back to the parking lot...
