Many people have asked similiar questions in the past regarding take-off parts and about half say keep them and the other half say throw them out (or try to sell them). For what it is worth, I'd throw them out (odds are no one will buy it but you can try putting it in the classifieds) since it...
ITS ALIVE!!!!!
Glad to hear that my former wrecked Viper lives again John! Candy Apple Red will look great on it and keep us all posted...cannot wait to see the final results!
There are monitors on the inside of each wheel, attached to the valve stems, which do have batteries (I think). But from what I was told, there is a master TPMS unit for all of them - if all your pressures are ok then that is what I suspect.
Remember Rich, contact Stoneridge Dodge to see if they can give you any details of the warranty work they did for an issue that sounded kinda the same...they might be able to provide some info. And check the owner's manual for general info on stuff (I put it in the trunk, which I assume you've...
Exotic Transport is another I'd recommended - great service/communications and great price as well. Their trucks are enclosed with separations between the 2 decks so fluids do not drip, etc. And they can handle any low ground clearance car made.
I like the fact that Dodge makes the Viper but their customer service & support suck. I am not embarrassed to own a Dodge; however, I do not want to give them any free advertising and besides, I think it looks better without the DODGE emblem on the rear.
Hey Stray Cat - I'd sure like to know where: "A dealer also told me that there are new 05's still out there that dealers have chrysler money on that are going in the high 50's."
Drop me a PM.
When I bought my first Viper the seller let me have his GA plate, which had "666" on it, along with some letters...random plate and not ordered that way. I wound up throwing it on eBay and some yahoo gave me $20 for it.
If you are just planning to eliminate the secondary cats do just that - no need to replace them with different cats. I assume you'll have the primary pair of cats in place so no need to worry about throwing any codes, etc. You will notice a lot cooler cockpit and save money to boot.
While some have had a good experience, they got the nick name of "Un-Reliable" for some reason! Let me just say if you use them I hope you are not in any rush.
I just sold my Yellow '05, 2k miles, and lots of mods for my asking price. It was only advertised here and on the Alley and I made a deal within about 2 weeks after posting it.
But if it was Red I bet it would be sitting a lot longer. However, mods matter and if one is for sale that has just...
Gary is hard to get in touch with sometimes since he is really busy. Go with Exotic Transport - excellent trucks (covered between top & bottom rows so you don't get dripped on, etc.) and the best rates I could fine...they are transporting a Viper for me now to Las Vegas from Palm Coast FL.
And thanks to you as well Rich...I know this has been stressful at times but when it arrives you'll know that it was worth it! Even though you don't have the Viper yet I changed my avatar; I hope my bike alone is ok...my wife would not allow the pic of her on it to be used (only I can see that...
Try Viper Parts Larry...he might want to buy it. Otherwise, I'd throw it out. If I kept every part I took off cars, motorcycles, etc. over the years I'd need a spare garage bay just to hold them all. Yeah, it might be worth a few bucks down the road but is it really worth it? Odds are you'll...
I had that exhaust on a '05 last year - I have a Corsa on a different '05 now and like it better. Anyway, I removed the secondary cats with the Mopar system (no codes showed up) and used the Roe insulation to help cut down on the heat albeit getting rids of the secondary cats decreases the heat...
I was looking for a shipper (from Palm Coast FL) and got this from himn via email on May 30th:
"...I lined up another car going west, so it looks like I can pick your car up around 6/11 and get it there about 3 days later."
For what it is worth, I am on my 6th Viper and all have been verts. I do have a non-Viper coupe though for a daily driver.
I agree with a previous post to a certain extent: coupes are better for the track but if you get a real rollbar like I have you should be ok.
The way I see it, you can...
Don't take this personally since others have asked the same sort of question - how can you ask someone else what you should buy!? You are the one spending the money so you should decide. There are some who would never want a coupe (like me) and others would not never want a convertible (not like...
