Thanks. Since the stem is metal I guessed it is the rubber o-ring. What is a TPMS strap?
I've been talking to Vince at HRE and he wants $10 + shipping for the valve stem. I don't mind paying but it is the hassle of taking it somewhere to dismount, etc. and possibly having someone "f" it up.
I read a post the other day about someone having the 1" seat lowering instructions but I cannot find it - if someone can email me them I would appreciate it. My driver's seat is loose so I want to use the instructions to see if everything was done properly...I bought the car with the seat...
Use "Wheel Wax" on your wheels...best stuff out there IMO and it is safe for clear and non-clear coated wheels. You will notice a LOT less brake dust as well.
I have not seen that wing on any verts. I've got the Autoform spoiler on my SRT-10 but it is a far cry from what you are looking at. Many people, including myself, don't think wings look good on the verts but to each their own. That is what makes most Viper unique...everyone does something a...
I doubt it but who knows...they probably have details on their web site. You can drive Daytona with a similiar deal but you drive one of their NASCAR-like cars.
Another way to improve shifting is to move your seat more forward. You can adjust the pedals so compensate for being closer. It may seems a bit awkward at first but it should improve your shifting.
Needless to say I have the form that Reliable gave to the seller, which indicates every mark on the car so when it gets here you better believe I will go over with a fine tooth comb, if I can find one since I do not have much hair.
I guess you get what you pay for - $1610 from CA to FL, which was less than everyone else. I tried Gary Almond but he was too busy. Anyway, they are telling me it will be here this week.
I had a Blue/White striped '97 RT10 and out of the 5 Vipers I've had that is the only one I did not mod - it seemed too nice to alter...maybe that is why I only had it for such a short time.
I agree with your point - a little good will goes a long way. Maybe the new owners will learn that customer service is important.
However, it seems like you'll have to bite the bullet this time and pay for the repairs yourself.
I got $250 plus shipping for mine albeit that was hard to get...most people said it was useless, not worth crap, etc. And I surely did not want to save it and have it take up valuable garage/attic space for someone down the road who would probably never want it either. There are probably a few...
Keep in mind they are coated so any abrasives or cleaners could remove it.
Try "Wheel Wax" - works great and cuts down on the amount of brake dust that accumulates on the wheels. They have a web site and I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts.
The '05 Viper I just bought has them on HRE 546Rs - what tire pressure(s) are best for street use? The previous owner said 29 PSI and Luke at the Tire Rack said 36 PSI Front, 32 PSI Rear.
