If it's modded and tuned then of course your tuner would advise u on what oct to run. But your relates to stock so 91 even though I ran 93 on my stock viper for two years before mods began.
To piggy back on this thread. Can u run race gas in a stock or modded car with it being tuned for race...
Godddd......damn, yeah it looks like you were in 4th gear the way he pulled. Also looks like there was some serious lag with the turbo before it took off (had volume down so could not hear). Either way that was impressive. Would like to see how it would compare to a viper making 800. Sure...
What are u doing with the car. Most seem to be going to sct and for good reason. May dan at viper specialty will chime in with input. Probably cheaper too
I've heard the swing oil pan has it's share of issues as far as providing enough to solve the problem or at least the older ones did. Dan at viper specialty has good info on this. Experts please chime in.
Why do some use the AEM instead of the split second, pcm flash? I know the AEM has more capability but at 3k plus having an experienced person tune it $$$$ doesnt justify the cost to me. And trying to get around emissions with the AEM Ive heard is another story.
I know UGR used the water/meth on there 900rwhp paxton kits and I believe every tuner running that type of power uses the AEM at a min.
UGR also uses the stock headers (not sure in all cases) which dont flow as well as after market but helps keep true to the pully size (ex. 6 lbs pully with...
You can def. find one cheaper right now. About 10k grand cheaper and you can get a 06 coupe for high 40s. I think the minor problems with the SRTs were in 03s.
There is a dealer in florida selling a 06 black/silver couple with 18k for 47k. Its on autotrader. you can pick up a 05 convert...
I have one now actually, still on car (hit in rear). Ill let go for 5k or if you want to come take it off yourself the 4500 (maryland). Let me know ASAP as insurance will own this car soon. Its a Paxton with stock pulley, 10k miles on it. Never had any issues and its still on the car so you...
not sure if this was mentioned but ABS should help with not flat spotting your tires which is a bitch.
I personally had both and prefer the ABS but to each there own. Your gonna get a bunch of different opinions on this as its been discussed alot. If your worried about a particular color and...
if your worried about resale value then pass. It you just want a viper to drive the hell out of, plan on keeping it forever and resale doesnt matter then if it all checks out go for it. If it had frame damage I would pass in either situation.
As some have stated, ask for accident pics and...
On the straights, it looks like the ACR hits boost or something (I know its stock), is that the effect of the variable Cam (however you phase that new cam)?
I think cheap insurance would be to replace the mounts. Better safe then sorry and alot better then replacing an engine.
I recommend the woodhouse mounts if they will fit on your gen 1.
I think you will get mixed feedback as I spoken with a couple well known viper tuners on this and some say dont run to redline unil 1000 miles and others say they dyno a new or rebuilt engine from jump. I personally see no reason to not wait until 1000 miles as it wont hurt but anything before...
No, Geico has said they will cover me and has this as a no fault accident on my parr. I was on 3 way with Geico when they called the state farm agent and was told they denied my claim. Geico was shocked just as much as I was and actually called them back a second time a minute later to make sure...
If insurance doesnt' cover all the mods, my mods will be coming up for sale depending on how much is done on the next viper i get. I m currently looking at another supercharged GTS (Grey) which has everything done to it (GTS-R 001 actually, if he doesnt sell it before I get my settlement check)...
