    Formula Shell Oil

Hey guys, Has anyone used this product? I was at costco looking for some oil for my DD, was planning on getting M1, they had a 6qt box for $35. Right next to it they had a 12 qt case of Formula Shell for $25. I went ahead and got the Shell but was curious if any one had used this product...

My Tunr for the "I just got PS2's and like wow!" thread!

Hey guys Ive been driving on my sports since I got the car in 2001, 18000 miles on em and its definately time to get a new set. I've been debating between kumho's and PS2's but Im in the market for a longer lasting all around performer that can drive in the wet if need be, so Im going with...

    smooth tubes/air box

definately all is well when instead of trying to take the tubes off the box you take em off the throttle bodies. Nothing makes you feel stupider and more accomplished than learning all this stuff after hours of frustration.

Some Pics Of My RT/10 with Powder Coated Wheels

I agree with the no wheel stripe crowd there venomis. but I do think that something is still missing. the all black wheels seem to dissappear underneath the massive yellowness of the car. I think you are on the right track in that adding some black stripes on the car would make the black...

    oil change!

Jeff, That is exactly what I did this morning and I noticed that the oil level dropped slightly on the dip stick to where it is right in the middle of the "safe" zone. So as long as the dipstick says "safe" im not gonna bother with that 10th quart...unless I'm the dipstick...

    smooth tubes/air box

I agree with chuck, my stock nobs are the sucksville. even when fully unscrewed there seems to be something holding the box down on the car. I'll give it another shot and hopefully it'll come loose. The last thing I want to do however is rip a whole in the airbox. (I could be that strong, I...

    oil change!

Its probably supposed to be, but who knows if the tech who last did my change actually followed guidelines. If you guys know Warnock and you know Scott Saurentino, you know he's one of the best in the northeast, but the tech who worked on my car last time was not Scott. Could be why I was...

    smooth tubes/air box

Since you guys were such a great help with my drain plug frustrations, lets move onto the next topic! Im pretty sure that getting into the airbox to clean/change filters is a relatively easy process, my problem is that I cannot get the smooth tubes off either the throttle bodies or the rear...

    oil change!

and damn leslie I can't believe you got labor for 4 bucks. On a job like this Im looking at $100+ at least.

    oil change!

leslie, So they didn't charge you 3.00/qt for oil because you brought your own, but what did they charge $3.00 9 times for? Either way, $40.00 + the cost of oil is unbelievable to me, I guess I didn't realize I was paying a northeast tax. Belair, I also have the same question. The car isn't...

    oil change!

hey USA i searched on california car cover's website and was unable to find that product by part # or by searching. Are you referring to the "race ramps" / low profile ramps? Those particular ramps are in the $130-$150 range.

    oil change!

Hey guys thanks for all the good advice, I gave it all I got and after a while the hex nut finally came loose. The oil filter was a super bitch to loosen as well, even using the strap wrench. But whatever it was a great experience and I feel a little accomplished today. Only thing is, I...

    oil change!

good goodness where did you get that price? they charge me for an hour of labor ($100), then since they won't let me bring my own oil I have to buy their mobil 1 at $10/quart ($100), then a filter ($10) and taxes, "shop supplies"...its BS, so I finally just bought my own equipment. However not...

    oil change!

So, I am attempting my first oil change on the viper as I am tired of paying upwards of $250 for the viper tech to do it. I have the car on jack stands right now (quite an interesting process to get it up there in its own right) and am attempting to get the drain plug out. Am I correct in...
