I've used the top one quite a bit, although on larger harware. Serious impact for lug nuts, but it will surely get the job done. The biggest advantage to the 18v is the batteries, they will fit a whole bunch of home use tools, the 36v has very limited home use.
This, I completely agree with. I've never really considered the red/white Gen2s to be that sought after, but maybe it's just me. I have been in the market for a B/W Gen2, but lately have been liking the Silver/Blues much more although they are a lot harder to find. I guess when you are...
While I prefer the Snap On tools, the Dewalt impacts are hard to beat for the price. The 1/2" 36v from Dewalt is a very nice impact if you need the extra torque. If you want to stick with 18v, avoid the mini impacts if lug nuts are your main focus. The Lithium Ion battery technology has made...
I must be in a rare club that is looking for a Viper with some mileage on it. I know I plan to put some miles on it, so why waste a low mileage car on myself, there are plenty of people looking for those and all I would do is remove one from the world. To me they have always been a drivers car...
I know where you are coming from. I was dead set against financing anything about ten years ago. When I purchased my first house, I found out how important "credit history" was. As you can see now, it's hurting you by not being able to get a loan, and having to drop your price that much on...
Many, not in the slightest.
Do you consider a first generation Camaro to be a classic? I do. But goin by the production numbers, they really shouldn't be then, 699,138. How many vipers were built over 19 years?
220,906 1967
235,147 1968
243,085 1969
Thanks for the response. It seems like a project that could be taken on by a smaller company. I was just curious if this was something that could be built for one Generation but adapted to all the others. It would become much more cost effective to factor in the numbers of all Vipers and SRT...
I have a few questions. Is this basically a mass produced blower that just needs a different intake manifold to mount to different motors? Could a kit be offered that would basically be similar, with the manifold being where the difference lies, to fit all the first three generations. It...
Driving a viper on the Road to Hana would have to be scary and exciting at the same time. That has to be one of the wildest roads I have ever driven, but I would want to be the only one on the road, those one lane bridges are narrow.
I think everyone should be happy that the record keeps getting traded back and forth between two American cars. Both are amazing cars and are doing it in the backyard of those that feel American cars can't handle. This may have already been said, so if it has, it never hurts to hear it again.
I check EBay daily as I am in the market for one. There ate a lot of people with higher prices, but those very seldom sell. The prices of RTs is quite a bit less than the GTSs, but they only seem to bring the big money if they are exceptionally clean and have low miles. I myself hope the...
I have no doubt that GM would love to see this happen. They have a huge stake in still trying to sell more cars. I am actually surprised a third party is doing it and not the manufacturer itself. I would love to see Dodge send a 2010 ACR over, but they have nothing to gain by it, production...
I know they are the same motor, but I have no idea if they are exactly the same. I do know this may sway me to start shopping a Gen3. I Just figured if it fit under the hood of the Viper, the truck should be a sure thing.
Just out of curiousity, would these fit the SRT pick up also? It might make for a better business case for production if they were to add in the extra 7000 or so trucks to the Gen 3 numbers.
I thought it was a great comparison and both cars are impressive as hell. I think it was a little dissapointing that they didn't use the ACR. Win, lose, I really wouldn't care, I just think it could have been cool if they compared the top car from each brand. Maybe an SRT coupe vs Z06, and...
I agree, most seem to go the FI route. Which I guess when you are looking at bang for the buck, the Supercharges are hard to beat. I myself still prefer the sound of a well built NA motor with a big cam. Although the V10 still sounds different to me compared to the V8s I've heard my entire...
I never have any luck posting a whole album.
In Photobucket, click on the picture, the click on direct link in the drop down box, right click and save, then when you post the link here, delete the http:// from the box.
Beautiful ride buy the way.
A lot of the discussion in this thread is actually what has gone on in my head since I have started shopping for a Viper. I heard this once before so I'm not going to claim these as my own thoughts, but I put the Gen I and IIs in the Muscle car category and the III and IV in the Supercar category.
You can add DI cartridges to any RO. If you search them up they are referred to simply as RO/DI. It will take the Total Disolved Solids(minerals, salt, etc) of water down to about zero when the resin is fresh.
