    Remember the Dodge Sidewinder Concept?

You mean like this! and this? Sorry for the dark pictures, but this section was not too well lit, it was at the Grand Rapids Auto Show last winter. Neat concept and a Viper V-10 to boot! <FONT COLOR="red">Images edited by Vipermad...I hope you don't mind! If you like the others better...

    Is Zaino UnAmerican?

Glenn, You don't need to wear gloves to break into your Z06 neighbor's garage. Just take a bottle of Gloss Enhancer and spray your hands with it, smooth as a baby's butt, and Voila, no fingerprints! Of course, it's very hard to get a grip on a door knob, your hands just kind of slide off the...

Founder of ASC passes away over the weekend

Heinz C Prechter, founder of ASC, passed away this past weekend. Some of you may not know who ASC (American Sunroof Corp, now called Automotive Systems & Components) is, but they make all the body panels for the Viper and paint and finish them as well. He committed suicide and was in deep...

    Gas Mileage Poll

27 MPG on a trip to the upper lower penninsula (all uphill)! Good idea to skip shift to a higher gear skip 2nd and 3rd. Sorry, I like to downshift when I stop or slow down. I don't know what I get around town here, (a small town with not many traffic lights so I would imagine about 12-15 mpg...

    YIKES! CRACKS IN THE HOOD

OH OH, I am starting to see some very slight cracks right near the air intake grille in the hood for the heater and A/C box! They are very hard to see in direct sunlight, but in the garage under the flourescent lights, I can see them better. They are about 1" long or so, two of them at right...

    Corvette Challenge

After a round of golf this evening, we got to talking about cars, and I commented about the 13.7 Quater mile I turned at VOI-6 last year and immediately got jumped on from a friend who owns a C-5 automatic about how I don't know how to drive the car at the drag strip. My response was "Bring it...

    "Thanks for not racing!"

Re: \"Thanks for not racing!\" I like that gnat idea, just think of most of these little buggers as gnats and not even worth taking a swipe at! Luckily, I don't get many challenges around here, but I do get crazies that want to cut you off or some stupid thing like that. Now that Michigan has...

What do you tell them ??

Hi Robert! Good to see that you got the '94 on the road at last! I usually don't ever tell how much I paid, just say it cost less than a new Corvette! ( for a used Viper), and like everybody else, will usually say a new one goes for about 75K. Whken they ask about the tubes in the headlight...

How hard/expensive is it to upgrade the 94 viper with air conditioning?

We lost our A/C last year at VOI-6 on our way down to St. Louis (A/C line ws rubbing against the chassis), and everybody who went there for VOI-6 knows how hot it was there then! We left the top on, took the windows off, and obviously did survive (think I lost about 10 lbs from the sauna...

    "Thanks for not racing!"

Re: \"Thanks for not racing!\" Good going Chris & Chuck! I was beginning to think that just about everybody, even here on this board, was beginning to get mush for brains this summer! Street racing is awfully tempting at times, and it is hard not to give in, but it can be done, you guys...

    Help, dead battery

I've heard a lot of good things about the Optima battery (be careful about the replacement size, some don't fit the compartment properly, if I remember right). We bought our '94 2 1/2 years ago, I use a battery tender through the winter, and (knock on wood), we are still on the same battery...

    best filter and tubes?

Got mine from Sean Roe and they work just fine! They are supposed to give you another 15-17 hp, not too shabby for about $130.00! Less than $10.00 per hp is a great deal in anybody's book.

Viper Days at Gingerman is SOLD OUT

We'll be there on Sunday to watch the races, and also to make a pass or two on the track. Jeff, we may have a 16 year old passenger for you for a couple of laps. I want to get to this event next year to learn how to really drive my car. We'll have some old Mopars with us, and a few Vipers...

Don, Skip Thomas takes us around the track at lunch if you go for the $40.00 package. The $40.00 includes entrance to the track, lunch for one, and an event tee shirt. Additional lunches are $15.00 each. If you do decide to come with us, please see me at the meeting place on my first post...

    personal experience please.....

Jon B, are you out there, can you help Robert out with this one? I know Summit carries insulation for street rods and the like, but does it have the same insulating qualities. That V-10 gets awful hot and the heat soak goes right into the floor and if you don't ahve the top off or at least the...

Come to The Gingerman on Fathers Day with us

Jeff, thanks for the offer. The 16 year old is not my son, but a guest that is coming with us. I'm sure he would love to go for a ride, however, I do not have a helmet for him, but I think we should be able to borrow one for the ride. His mom is coming along also, so I'll get Skip's OK...

Come to The Gingerman on Fathers Day with us

Thanks for the responses guys! I hope we can get a few Vipers to come to the track with us along with some old Mopar Iron. I have no idea how many will show, as I think most of them will just be paying the $10.00 admission price at the gate. We will have a 16 year old coming along with us who...

OK, that is the second time... (and more - photos)

Nadine, I believe that Roy Sjoberg (Father Viper) came up with a trailer that looks like the front and back of a GenI Viper and he also has a tow rig for it. Can anybody help on this, I don't know how to reach him or the company that markets the trailer. I think it was on the Viper site...

Come to The Gingerman on Fathers Day with us

I am trying to organize a trip on Sunday, June 17th to the Gingerman for Viperdays with our local West Michigan Mopar Club. Any and all Viper owners in the area are also invited. We will meet at 9:00 AM at the Club Car restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is about 2 miles west of the "D"...

    Gas-spiracy

What I feel so bad about, is folks on a fixed income. Sheesh, they are paying extremely high prices for gas, and they are having to cut back even for essential driving, because they are on a fixed income. Also, take a look at the oil company profits for this past year and tell me they are not...
