There is an access hole in the front wheelhouses...just remove the rubber plug and reach in.

Bet he doesn't have the guts to do it again

To heck with the bug pic...let's see more of the 'runner! (Or is it a GTX?) Looks sweet. Having had two Superbirds in the past...I'm a sucker for a 1970 B body.

Laser falses can also be caused by some high mount stoplights on certain vehicles.

    map/dome/interior bulb replacement (GTS)

I think...I repeat...I think the lens unscrews..if memory serves me...there are slots for a phillips screw driver on the lens.

    Viper Trailers

I have a 22' Haulmark that was originally used to haul my then Superbird...it now hauls around a '72 Plymouth..and the Viper. I added an extension to the ramp door about 4' long. I used the existing hinge. Viper clears fine. I also installed ramps inside that raises the car a couple inches for...

Soo...this is how my company helped for earth day...

I'm not even getting into the global warming nonsense. The latest is the cost of corn...and how now poorer countries are in it deep because their people can't eat. It takes 400 pounds of corn to make 40 gallons of ethanol..how does it make sense to mess with your food supply? Back on...

    GT2, 998 recall opinion wanted

I'd agree that parts may not be around forever. Chuck did the recall on mine and did perfect....perfect.....job. I am very picky and I am thrilled with Chuck's work.

    Clear door sill guards

I too was concerned about that as the sills are painted plastic...my concern with the clear 3M stuff was heat...so I got the MGW sill plate things back when the car was new. They look great, protect the most vulnerable areas too. Viper Sillplates

Why does the Viper use 6 lug bolts?

I remember well that it was as Jon stated....'cause way back when, they used Dakota hubs. And, any other number of parts bin goodies.

HELP me adjust my hood latch/striker!!!

I always lower mine to the position, where just the rear rollers are touching. Then, hands wide apart 18" or so past the NACA..and give it a swift, firm push shut. Most times, it shuts the first time. It has been written here many times, that closing the hood by pressing about the latches is...

Anyone using Bigfoot Garage Floor tile?

I did Sport Court tiles in my existing garage. I like the tire tread design...anyhow...Lowes is now selling nifty rubbery tiles that snap together and they were reasonably priced. They would be quieter to walk on...but likely would not like a jack on them, etc. Here's my garage after the floor...

    Cleaning the Undercarraige?

Every Fall I pull the wheels, clean out the suspension, floor, wheel houses, etc. If it's not real dirty underneath you could use Quick N Easy Wash to clean. I finally got around to Fall cleaning now and am using the wash mentioned, then Zaino's Clear Seal afterwards.

Has anyone run into Water Based Paints being used yet?

I have a friend with a shop where I took my Viper for a very small repair to the quarter panel. It was a couple of small chips that drive me nuts. You could have covered either one with your pinky finger nail. (I had taken it to my usual shop and they could not get a match with standard...

Anyone trimmed the lower lip of the fascia?

I took some clear door edges guards....the ones that have the sticky stuff inside to help hold them on....and slid them onto the bottom lip of the fascia. They take the hit if you bottom out...and if they get ugly...just peel 'em off and put a new pair on. They're only a few bucks. And...you can...

    updates Chuck???????????????

Through my dealings with Vipers...I met two of the most professional, personable guys. (I'm sure there are others too!) Chuck the Wizard, and Bill Pemberton. Either one would take his shirt off and give it to you....the whole time somehow telling you that it was better for them that way. My...

I cut the rain baffle out of mine...and put a piece of textured plastic in...looks very factory. Whether it made a performance difference or not.....?

Need mud flaps. Sills sand blasted

I had the same problem with my 2000 and fashioned a set of clip-on "gaurds" that have taken a heck of a beating...the sills still got some rash thought. The guards have all kinds of nicks, and other abuse on the wheel side. I have removed both sills for painting, and the shop suggested using...

Response from Chrysler Re; Tator's Dodge

I'd agree...but the real problem is that I think Chrysler's mindset is that they want all dealers to be Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge...no more single point dealers. Whoever happens to fall along the way is meaningless to Chrysler. Very sad indeed.

    New Car Detailing Advice

CitySnake....modern auto plant paint is catalyzed. By the time the car gets to you...you can wax it. My 05 Excursion was ordered..and only a few days after it arrived, it was clayed and Zaino applied. (FOr a vehicle delivered in a closed trailer...clay may not be needed) Some dealers will no...

    Opinions needed!

I'd prefer a car without the mods....but I'd also prefer the Steel grey...hmm. Maybe a bit of help would be to consider the changes made in the later Vipers...grained dashboard, remote hatch release, power mirrors, etc.
