I bought a set (from Autoform) and they did not fit very well on my 94. No matter how I angled them, turned them, etc., they did not fit well. I had them for so long that I couldn't return them..... AND I paid a lot more for them than Chuck is charging!
Larry,
Ted knows the cars very well (he has a 96 as well as a few others that he tracks regularly). He will now what it takes to change out the fan (which I had done on my 94 under warranty a few years back). Since the fan change, and a less restrictive exhaust my car is much happier. Initially...
Cayenne,
I have not heard of many engine "replacements", but many were sent back to Arrow (who build the engines for Dodge) for head gasket replacement. While they had them, they would basically do a complete rebuild. Many of the head gaskets failed for 1 (or both) of 2 reasons. First, the...
Mike H - sorry to hear about the divorce, buddy. Sounds like life is good now, though!
I hope you are doing well. I still remember some of the old emails we exchanged years ago. Funny stuff!
How much was the grommet kit at Home Depot? That is a great idea! My daily driver has grommets in the floor mats, and a little hook mounted under the seat. I know there are bolt holes near the front of the seat. I'd be interested to see if you can buy just the swiveling hooks that are in my Z...
Jeff,
I painted the calipers and rotor hats on my Z (daily driver) w/ caliper paint that I bought at an auto parts store, and it has held up very well for over a year.
If you're interested, I'll get the info for you.
If this is for your rear calipers (I assume it is), Zero Altitude Flight (ZAF)...
I don't see that at all. You can't race a "stock" car in the wheel to wheel (where you are more likely to rub paint than in the standard "point and pass" classes). I (and MANY others) have tracked their cars, and they still look and run beautifully. Is it possible to hurt your car on the track...
Martin,
For warranty work, go to Hartzheim. Ask for William McCurry or Reyes Portillo when you are making an appointment. They seem to understand Viper owners pretty well. 408-445-4521 is Reyes. VCA membership = 10% discount on any service (Viper included).
Stevens Creek (now Chris's Dodge...
Dan Cragin at DC performance has a great deal on complete rear ends w/ your choice of gears. Check on this site in the "New Products and Suppliers" section, under "Viper Differentials".
You cannot go wrong w/ Dan Cragin or JonB at PartsRack.
From Dan's post:
Good used units (3.07) $750...
T&D's are not going to get rid of your valvetrain noise. If anything, they are noisier!
Scott at Elite ([email protected]) will get you a great deal on Mopar/T&D.
Re: >>> MANNY\'S CAR vs. WORLD\'S FASTEST PRODUCTION BIKE -- 180+ MPH <<<
That is the best 20 minutes of video I have seen. This is what the internet was *really* invented for!!
Congratulations on a totally unbelieveable car, Manny!
Re: 1st Viper, How\'s 12.05 @ 119.69mph??
Keith and Mike,
Those are GREAT times, especially considering the mods! Mike, that has to be near a Gen I record for header only car.
Congratulations!
I did the Northwind seat lowering kit on my Gen I (assuming you're talking about seat lowering, and not suspension). Takes about 1/2 hour, and is very simple. GREAT upgrade. I can't imagine it'll be any more difficult on the SRT-10
Also, I have never had any problems w/ MGW chrome goodies under...
I drive without mine.
I have heard the warnings.
I have chosen not to heed them. I am a bade man.
If I am decapitated, please use my head for a very ugly bowling ball.
That is all.
I had purchased another set of windows (used) made by a different company. I thought they were pretty good until I saw a set of Vmania windows. Had to have them. Sold the others and upgraded to VMania. Haven't looked back since! After seeing one of their tops (no taking off sport cap pad to...
Jeff,
I am 6' and it helped considerably (especially in my RT w/ top on and helmet). I did the 1" seat lowering kit that still allows the seat to move up and back. Easy install also.
