Guesses on Dyno for 94 RT w/ minor mods
I will be extremely happy if I get over 400HP and 450TQ. Definitely feels faster on the SOTP dyno! Any other guesses?- XS TORQ

Guesses on Dyno for 94 RT w/ minor mods
I have done a baseline on my 94 RT - here's the before info: K&N + smooth tubes stock mufflers out, glasspacks in 3.54 rear gears (I have heard they affect numbers, also heard they don't) 373.8HP/429.1TQ Now I have added headers (Valaya Racing) Borla 3" mufflers Hen-S-E 3" cats T&D 1.7...- XS TORQ

3" RT/10 side exhaust with stock headers
Re: 3 The stock mufflers have so much back pressure that you should see a nice performance gain. It will definitely sound nicer (compared to the stock UPS truck sound of the side exhaust systems). I only swapped out my mufflers, and am unsure of HP/TQ gains (didn't do a before dyno) but I have...- XS TORQ

How to clean under the hood?
K&N filter cleaner works well as a grease remover also. Follow up w/ rinse, dry, and Zaino tire/rubber treatment. Not that I remember, since it's been so long since I cleaned mine! :)- XS TORQ

Looking for Hard Top rack.....
I used the exact same thing as a hardtop rack. Biff from VMania suggested it. No brainer to do it. I feel safe w/ my top on it (even though I'm in earthquake country!). Wish I had a bag for my top also. Make sure you install the screws for the brackets in studs in the wall! Sheetrock isn't going...- XS TORQ

UH OH?
They wouldn't do an Arrow return for my head gasket problems.... they just replaced head gaskets (didn't even change the thermostat gasket while the had it apart! Luckily I had already done that). No longer a virgin!
Vipers come in colors other than black? And without sidepipes?? Didn't know that. ;) Check out Vmania windows (definitely) and top (if you are inclined to get a top, this is THE one to get). Lowering the car makes it look better - IMO - especially since you have the 18" wheels.- XS TORQ

Switching tires side to side
Mark - That is exactly what I did, as my tires were wearing considerably more on the inside than the outside. From your post, it is obvious that you know the tires are directional. Bridgestone Tires....what happened to em?
I just changed over from RE71's to Pilot Sports. The Sports feel so much softer and stickier I can't believe it! They also look a LOT better (IMO) due to the lip on the tire that protects the rim. I have 285 front and 335/35 rear, which fit on the stock 3-spoke rim, as well as the 5-spoke 17"...- XS TORQ

Will GTS headers (Gen II) fit my 93?
They should fit. They weigh less than the stock manifolds - by about 25 pounds, but you will only see a very small increase in horsepower. Many many sets out there for cheap. Lots of work for minimal return, in my opinion. Save up and buy a "real" set of headers. There are some great deals out...- XS TORQ

California Insurance costs
Check out Nationwide Insurance - 888-634-7328. Although I was 34 when I bought my Viper, and it has always been a "2nd car" (300ZXTT is "daily driver"), I have never paid over $600 a year to insure the Viper, even when I had 2 tickets on my record. They may not have insured me if I had 2 tickets...- XS TORQ

HELP! My rims are peeling!
You could always have the wheels re-powdercoated, which is generally very strong, and should not peel. Someone did something to those wheels to make that happen (like using something to pry off the center cap that chipped the wheel?!?) You could also have your wheels polished, and clear...- XS TORQ

Installed Vmania top and windows - have a question
Thanks to all of you - I made sure I have the correct number of bolts installed (4) for the sport cap pad, the pins for the soft top are now installed in the correct spot, and I put larger washers on the hole that was messed up. I have not tried the top out again - before I do, I'm going to slot...- XS TORQ
