Is this much oil leaking "normal"....

Re: Is this much oil leaking It's probably coming through the pan bolt holes or the bolts are not tight. Mine did just like that. I had a couple loose bolts, but after tightening them, it still leaked. I took the bolts out in the area of oil leaking, put some liquid gasket (Permatex I think)...

I drove the Viper to the gym last nite ....

Just the opposite! First time I parked it in the garage, the wife wouldn't talk to me for two weeks.

    chin crack

I've done the same thing before. Backed out, caught the edge, and cracked it. I'm afraid your stonegard is history if you want to fix the crack. There is some glue you can get for the plastic, and one source is Eastwood. I believe it is for fiber reinforced plastic, but don't remember the...

    My POLL RESULTS

    IMHO, GOOD INFO, (PICS)

Do I see a slight oil leak/stain at the back of the pan? I had to work on the pan bolts to stop mine.

SRT Track Experience site is open

I'm not sure that is the case, because it looks like non SRT owners can sign up on a wait list. Since it appears all venues are still open, I'll bet it isn't or won't a problem.

SRT Track Experience site is open

Strictly a guess, but it says all day --- maybe 8-5??? I'm sure someone smart here will reply.

SRT Track Experience site is open

Looks like all the locations are still available. It's up and running at http://www.srttrackexperience.com/home.do And it works because I just registered.

    Quick Mobil 1 Question.....

My mistake for starting (I think) the "required" word. In actuality, the SRT8 manual says 0-40 is "preferred", but 5-40 is acceptable, as Tom says above, but either is "recommended". How's that for some added "clarity".

    Quick Mobil 1 Question.....

Tom, I guess you are saying anything that meets the API, etc., specs is sufficient, as long as it is close to the recommended weight?? If true, that is comforting if I am ever out in the wilds and need a quart of oil, knowing that 0-40 may not be available in Dinkytown, Kan.

    Quick Mobil 1 Question.....

The SRT 8 also requires 0-40. It was not available in the KC area until about 2 weeks ago, but was at the dealer at twice the price. Advance (where I bought some two weeks ago) has it as well as Walmart, and I am sure it is coming into other stores now.

Anyon interested in a 1970 Hemi Cuda? All original!

I do believe I remember the Cuda being available in Sub Lime. Back when I had the chance to buy (but didn't) one of them Harley's (I mean Cuda's) new, that was an available color.

No matter what, yellow is definitely faster... (pics)

Because the engine probably has an intercooler and might freeze up the glass. Of course, I could be wrong.

    3M clearbra???

I think the yellow stuff is yellow bug stuffing.

    3M clearbra???

I've had 5 cars with clearbra and the first time I noticed the yellow mark you talk about was this week. And, it doesn't come off. I thought it was underneath the material, but you are probably correct. Maybe waxing before driving would stop it.

    3M clearbra???

Get it. It's great. Have it installed professionally. You will not be disappointed, unless you savor rock chips.

Keep waiting to hear the big news re SRT surprises at NY Auto Show...

Yeh, I was waiting too. All the "in the knowers" had me really going in Jan. Thought, "2 months to March isn't long to wait to hear the good news." I guess rumors are hardly ever right. Those that said they were "in the know" didn't really know, you know? Just say "no" to those that know...

    VOI-9 ..........Salt Lake City.

What I've noticed about SLC in years back is that it is an incredibly clean, neat, and well organized city. There is great scenery around the area. The drive over the Rockies would be a high point.

Thoughts on the Detroit Auto Show

In the latest Autoweek, Trevor Creed says they didn't intend to go retro, and they wanted to create a new sedan. He also said they had no intention to produce a 2 door. No shyt Trev? How come you had that stunner in 99? It was a four door, I believe. And it came close to the look of...

    Maybe not completely out....

Stugots, you better be right, 'cause if you're wrong, I am going to start sticking some pins in a little doll I have here. I'm keeping the faith because of you (and maybe Chris a little too). Sure hope the next 6 months are some kind of exciting.
