I purchased the Belanger header/exhaust system for my 2008. I strongly agree with those that have recommended you contacting or e-mailing Lou Belanger directly. Lou is not only extremely knowledgeable but is very accessible. Let me put it this way: I e-mailed Lou about how to retorque the...
I ordered this same system on my 2008 from Parts Rack. The sound is amazing. It also feels much stronger and I hope to complete dyno testing soon.

I spoke with my Viper Tech today and it turns out they used the header bolts included with the Belanger kit, not the stock bolts. My Tech also clarified that the bolts included with the Belanger kit were half inch bolts.

Thanks for the information. I assume that the part number and sizes you cite are for the stock header bolts that came with the car (that is what is used with the Belanger system).
Here is a picture of the stock bolts:
I have been having trouble reaching all the bolts...
Just my guess but I would be very surprised if Chrysler bumped the factory stock hp one year after releasing the significant upgrades in the 2008 engine. Here's to me being wrong.:D

What Mark said: The Sidewinders on the ACR are the same size as your stock wheels (18 x 10 front and 19 x 13 rear). The front rims can accommodate the wider 295/30/18 rubber of the Cups.

Great pics. You asked me on another thread about heat shields/insulation. I spoke with Lou Belanger and my Viper Tech and the ultimate conclusion was that insulation was highly recommended to protect the underhood wires but that shielding was not required and could even be...
Yes, on both the driver and passenger side successfully although on the passenger side there is a stereo amp or some other piece of equipment that causes some slight rubbing on the bottom of the passenger seat when it is moved to the most extreme aft position. Sliding the seat just slightly...
I just did an SCCA Solo Novice drivers school recently and I have very little experience autocrossing. My own impressions were that cars like my 2008 and the larger hp cars (2008 Z06 etc) that were there did well enough but still have an inherent disadvantage in that (1) especially on the...
I got my 2006 and 2008 Viper service manuals from Chrysler Publications directly at 1-800-890-4038. I imagine they should have the 2004 manual as well.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll experiment with those socket sizes.
I hope to post some sound clips into an earlier post I did where I had a youtube video with the sound of the stock exhaust both inside and outside the cabin. I will do the same with the Belangers. I am still under 500...
Put another way, what size wrench fits the stock 2008 exhaust manifold bolts? I checked my 2008 service manual and it did not specify the type of bolt used. Thanks.
/Rich
Per the 2008 Belanger header installation instructions, I need to retorque the header bolts once I reach 1,000 miles on the headers.
The system uses the stock header bolts. Can anyone tell me what size wrench I need to retorque the bolts? I would rather not experiment with various size...
I have the Sidewinders on my 2008. I weighed them before mounting (without tires, lugs, center caps or TPMS sensors) and got 17.5 for the front 18 x 10 rims and 25 lbs for the rear 19 x 13 rim. I have looked around for a light rim set in those sizes and short of going to a full magnesium or...
Definitely not ideal for street driving. I suppose you could risk it if you were driving your car under very mild conditions (no aggressive driving). I would imagine that it would be borderline insane if you were to take the car out to the track.

Had something similar happen on my 2008 and it turned out that my floor mat was preventing me from depressing the clutch pedl fully. The car will not start unless the clutch is almost fully pressed. Sounds stupid, I know, but it may be worth checking just to eliminate this as a possible source...
Re: Solution to TPMS Sensor Woes! Multiple Wheel Set Owners READ HERE!
Dan --
I would be very interested. Just so I understand, you would send me 4 TPMS sensors that I would then have my local Viper Tech install on the second rim/tire set. This would then allow me to swap the wheels and...
