Yes, I have the same problem. The R hooks do put a dent in the side of the fascia kit. When hooking up the tow straps, you do need to get in a little further with your hand from a different angle.
I have it, and it works great. Before you rivet it to the bottom of your frame, make sure you use a hole saw and drill a big round hole in the area that will sit under the radiator drain valve so that you can reach the valve when you want to drain the radiator. If you don't put a hole there...
I just tried to find the old pics. Can't find them. I think we did something for the "illustrated upgrades" section on the old Viper Club website, but the link is dead now.
I think we had pictures that show the installation process. I'll do some more digging at home. My car is not at the...
I kept seeing all of these website mashups using Google maps, and I wanted to learn how to use them. So I created a website that maps the race tracks in the US. You can zoom in on an area with little flags, and see what is in a particular area. Each flag also links back to the website for...
You might be able to find a used Ford Excursion with the 7.3 diesel that can pull 11,000 lbs. I have a 2002 and it pulls very well with my Viper in a 24 foot enclosed trailer. You can't even feel the trailer. I also use a load leveling hitch. http://www.equalizerhitch.com/

I bought a 24 foot enclosed Wells Cargo about 5 years ago. It's been a great trailer. While I was researching, I ran across an important point to consider. The Viper doors are very close to the ground, so if you want to open the driver's door after you drive it up into the trailer, you have...
The greens are too soft for a track day. I ran new reds on a track weekend and wore through the whole pad in 2 days. I ended up going to big brakes, and now run EBC yellows on the track and love them. I never tried the yellows with the stock brakes, but they might be a good option for you...
That track is awesome! If you have any interest in driving at the track, this one is fantastic. Here is a video from about 2 years ago.

I just failed inspection because my parking brake won't hold the car. I can't find my shop manual that I remember did have instructions for adjusting the parking brake. Does anyone know how to do it. I remember it involved taking off the center console, but can't remember how to adjust it...
I run a few dozen events each year, instructing also, so I'm in the car a lot during a track day. I have this helmet and fan system that is portable so I can jump in/out of student cars all day.
Helps keep your head cooler and the fan it not too loud to create problems for my mic system...
I just had another wonderful encounter with Keith Laxson, our unbelievable Viper Tech for the North Texas region. I had a power steering pump pulley fail and my car was stuck in the garage. Since Keith's new shop, Musclehead, isn't open yet, he made a HOUSECALL, and fixed my Viper in the...
I had the same idea a few years ago and made something myself, but it was too fragile when hit by rocks. I pulled mine off and used the ones from Parks Rack and they worked much better. I left them the standard aluminum color and used a rivet gun to attach them. I did notice a cooler interior...
