Firstly thank you Boners for keeping us updated on current prices. I've sold many items on CL before but never thought of selling a car thru it, especially a Viper. I might give them a try as I'm about to test the waters on my '14 Orange TA. Still haven't decided if I should keep the car or...
Narrow win for one lap, gap will start to widen as the Vette overheats. But if they can solve the engine, transmission, and power steering pump over heating issues, then the Vette would be a formidable alternative to the Viper.
This is the most stupid comment I've read on this forum in my many many years hanging out here. Read more man, you've got to be kidding me, how do you know I haven't been researching the car. Are you from the Corvette forums???
I'd want to see the differences of the two setups first, don't want to order the regular ACR if the wing and canards looks exactly like what's on a TA 2.0
Due to the RPM range where the drone happens, I stay in 6th gear when under 65 MPH, then from that speed on, I use 5th gear so the RPM would above the 2800 mark. I think the 3:73 gear is a good idea and will probably go for it soon.
Highway cruising is NOT well in the Gen V, drone-wise. Car drones between the lower to mid 2000 RPM range so I either stay below 65MPH which is difficult to do or go faster than 80 to avoid the drone, or drop down to 5th. I'm thinking of going to 3.73 rear end gears to not only wake up the car...
I had a fairly low riding Gen 4 ACR and it scraped the rear when I pulled out of the driveway, while the TA would clear. However due to the front splitters being on the side and protrude another 2" from the bottom of the car, you may not take driveways at an angle like a non TA Gen V w/o the...
I just got rid of a C63 AMG and am looking for a little more room in the back seat, so thinking the new M3 maybe a tad more roomy and almost bought one, but ended up getting an BMW i3 for car pool lane access. But still need a bigger family car, so naturally the Hellcat Charger would be one of...
I purchased my Gen V locally and have taken the car back to where I purchased the car a couple of time for minor work but am not impressed w/ the service so I wonder where in Socal I can take my car to for some work - misfit interior door panel that squeaks and drives me crazy and replace a...
It was my TA that Dan put in Dynamats to quiet down the noise for freeway driving as I want to do more street driving in the car than in my old ACR. There's good noise and bad noise, what the car gives out between 2000-2700 RPM is not good noise. I welcome as much exhaust noise as possible...
Was looking at the new Bimmer M3 as new family car, but holding off because of the Charger Hellcat.... Hope Dodge makes enough of them so availability won't be an issue.
Hi Kris,
What is the engine speed at 70MPH w/ the 3.73 gear? Does the higher RPM quiet down the drone somewhat (as it put the engine RPM out of the resonance range)?
